I highly recommend playing this video at 1.5x speed, or you'll fall asleep.

I'm looking to buy an Insignia with 4x4 and a friend who used to work on these cars told me that there is no scheduled filter and oil change on the haldex unit. He told me that without an oil change most of these units fails between 120-200 thousand km. That is a shame that Opel practices this with their reputation of quality which isn't the best and they don't seem to care. People who ordered these cars new should have been told that when you buy a 4x4 car the maintenance is more expensive. They should also be given a price estimate for maintenance so the oil change could be a part of planned maintenance.

This is not unique to Opel.

Vet det, men det er opp til hver enkelt bilfabrikk å bestemme om de tilbyr service på systemet som en del av intervallet. Mange som lar være for da virker servicen mye billigere når kunder spør om det ved bestilling av ny bil.

Yes - Not unique to Opel - take Mercedes Cam chains service free still they suggest replacing them at 200.000 km and so the list goes on from manufactur to manufature what is and what is not, thus always good to get to know the brand proberly before buying and study on can save u loads of money, for those who cant and wont do themselfes, well you all pay the price without a doubt. Got the OPC 2010 and do severice myselfe every 15.000 km diff, haldex unit, transfer box and tranny. when bought it I got problems after 3 months the infamus shaking at low speed when turning, did service on the haldex and problem solved (Should be noted Opel made a software update for the haldex oil pump pressure distribution so having issues make sure is checked and up to date) Else best car I ever had Is not so difficult oils and parts at LBM AutoParts warm recommend them

@@martinhuusfelt1783 Hi, I have a 2014 OPC model, 140 thousand km and I think previous owners did not replace oil for differential at least not by looking at the service book. I had once shaking at the back right wheel, now I know from this video it had to do something with limited slip differential. Also for a day I had error popping up on the board computer to service the all-wheel drive but it went away (pressure did not build up correctly?). From that point nothing unusual in driving and on a garbage OBD scanner it says no codes. Which oil do you use? I want to service it myself.

You should add that it concerns Insignia A. 4x4 system in Insignia B is completely different.

The new Insignias have the same Twinster 4 x4 system as the Focus RS. It seems to be reliable in the Ford Focus RS.
