@@supermariof0521 I imagine that the rights to use that were probably far easier and cheaper to get than the regular TV show's theme. I didn't realize it was from anything - that's some dedication though that they still insisted on something relevant and connected, even if people didn't notice.

Indeed he was security guard Johnathan Brown as reaffirmed per the bad Matthew Broderick Disney film from 1999, however instead of becoming the cyborg detective due to getting blown up & seemingly left for dead in an explosion whilst chasing down the minions of Sanford "Claw" Scolex who had made off with a semi-realistic robotic foot (said robotic body part was developed by the same scientist whose daughter Brenda worked with local city doctors to bring Johnathan Brown back as a clueless fumbling policeman embedded with ridiculous items of the secret agent trade [although, aside from the extended neck, arms, and legs alongside the Go-Go Gadget Coat & Go-Go Gadget Copter as well as the deliberately comically oversized Go-Go Gadget Mallet, most of the gizmos built inside of Inspector Gadget were wacky cartoon sound effects -- such as making perverse accidental monkey screeches when he saw Brenda bend over -- explosive fireworks that went off during a fundraising benefit promoting his rebirth as a cybernetic officer of the law, and often rather useless comedy props]), the cartoon version of Inspector Gadget was turned from a rather on-the-beat cop to a bionic crime fighter due to slipping on a banana peel discarded by some ignorant litterbug. Yeah it is a shame that the main theme isn't in here. Well, a small portion of it is in the opening theme. Other than that, the music in this game is surprisingly pretty good.

Saban Entertainment, who parted ways with DIC, holds the rights to the IG theme and soundtrack used in the first TV series.

So true, I mean I don't know if that showing Dr. Claw's face here is even canon, but rather interesting to think about when in most franchises, villains like him don't show their real face until the very end.
