They did not put college player over him. They stipulated that there was to be a college player on the team. I thought should have been Shaq, but Christian Lightner hit that ice cold winning game shot to beat Kentucky in the Championship game and his college stats were stupid.

It wasn't whether you'd rather have Christian Laettner or Isiah Thomas. There were a lot of people who didn't like Isiah. People point fingers at Jordan, but it wasn't just him. Even if it was just Jordan who wouldn't play with Isiah, if you had to choose between Jordan and Thomas, you could have one of them but not both, there's no question who you pick.

You just have to look at who the 3 captains of that team were. Jordan's decision is clear. Bird, in addition to suffering in his worst moments the aggressions of the Bad Boys, is also Thomas' statements supporting Rodman in his opinion of Larry. The reason why Laettner was on the team was this...This was the first time allowing pros in the olympics. They also either had or wanted to include at least one amateur player. Christian was the player of the year for that year so he went.

It wasn’t up to Coach Chuck Daily ( probably misspelled his last name) it was THE NBA WHO WOULD NOT LET ISAIAH BE ON THE TEAM!!!!!! I get YOUR thoughts BUT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO DREAM TEAM IF HE WAS SELECTED!!!!!! It was ALOT else that you weren’t around for but it wasn’t his coach and THEY HAD TO PUT AT LEAST 1 college player…………IT WAS REQUIRED…….

Son, you just watch your era of basketball. You do not know Bobby Hurley? They failed to mention he left the NBA because he almost died in a car crash. He was Nash before Steve Nash. You are very weak on your basketball history. You have no team concept. Isiah was a star, but he rubbed allot of players wrong and he would have ruined the chemistry. Stop stat chasing, stats are very deceiving.
