I am very impressed with your craftsmanship. My mother lives very close to where Sam Maloof’s house was moved to. His home is a museum now. I grew up in the same house my mom lives in now. Sam Maloof was and continues to be a big deal. I’m happy to see he has inspired so many around the world. I love that you formed the seat in the same way and took notice of the degrees of the seat. I know he did. Albeit you used a laser and I think he’d give an amused chuckle about that.

Excellent craftsmanship. I've seen a lot of Maloof copies and most of them are not shaped enough, they are too thick and blocky. Well done!

Hi 👋, That was a great sense of achievement, last year, I purchased a set of drawings and a DVD, On how to make this chair, and I’m hoping at some point next year, 2024, to attempt to make one or a pair, even, I have a big challenge before doing so, I have to lay 6 m³ of concrete and finish off doing the roof and doors on my workshop, I wish you all a happy New Year and a success for the future, Phil from the moulin France,

Well done, Young Man. A work of art. Some nice tools, countless ours of craftsmanship spent delivering fine results. I am working on 2 projects to help me learn the Maloof joints, then I will build my 1st rocker. I will refer to your video often.

Is there a possibility of purchasing the patterns you are using so I can make my own templates to make the rocking chair? Yes, I did. I drew a drawing after making several corrections by referring to books and videos.

Very interesting build. Congratulations on a wonderful piece. An American woodworking, Scott Morrison, has a series of DVDs on how to build a Maloof inspired rocker. What I like about your build is the use of hand tools rather than power shaping with all the enormous amounts of dust. Maloof's shop estimated that they spent 190 hours on a rocker build. What was your experience?

Hello, Laurence. Thanks for your interest in my work. I'm instructing members of Maloof's rocking chairs in a 3-month course (2 days a week). It seems to be about 200 hours.

안녕하세요~ 말루프 할아버지가 평생을 계속 수정하며 완성한 흔들의자는 조각품이고 예술작품의 느낌이죠. 저희는 깊은 고찰을 통해 완성된 말루프 의자를 만들면서 많은 것을 배우고 있습니다. 공방에서는 말루프 수업을 열어 회원님들과 같이 제작하고 있구요, 완성된 의자를 판매한 경우는 있지만 따로 주문은 받지 않습니다.

말루프 의자를 만드시는 분 중에 제작 의뢰를 받는 분도 꽤 계신 걸로 압니다. 네이버에 '말루프 흔들의자'를 검색하시면 여러 공방을 찾으실 수 있을 거에요. 가격대는 350~1200까지 들어봤습니다. 제가 판매하는 가격은 700만원입니다. 오리지널은 15,000~30,000달러를 들어봤고 작고 하신 후 지금은 어떤지 모르겠네요.
