@@TMajorPro but what does that have to do with Bronny? And if this about representation, why aren't other draftees being promoted in the same manner as Bronny? You said it yourself, he's the 55th pick, yet he got a guaranteed multi-year contract without even playing his first game? How about the other draft picks, what did they get? Or are we being selective on who to "promote"? 🙂

@@Rio-dmvIf you're a die-hard Laker fan, then how do you feel about JHS, #17 pick from last year?🤔 This maybe crazy but Bronny as the 55th pick already has more potential and value than a wasted 1st rd pick just a a year ago. It makes no sense to be upset with using a 55th pick like this when Lakers literally had a horrible 1st rd rookie an nobody really even cared because he hardly played. People should care alot more about wasting mid 1st rd picks over one of the last picks in the entire draft fr. It's not like Lakers had anybody else on the draft board they actually wanted, so why not? And as an organization, if this helps in any way one of your best players get even more excited to come back, or be more incentivized to take a paycut because this makes him happy enough to throw away millions of dollars and allow the organization to get better pieces. Then honestly, regardless of Bronny's performance it was 100% worth it for the organization. Ya'll can't be so simplistic with your viewpoint if you look from an organizational perspective it was a great pick and keeps everybody happy, excited, and wanting to continue working together to make the best team possible from all sides. This draft pick is what you call a win-win for the organization, coach, and players. There's no way Lebron should even take a paycut with how much the Lakers still rely on him at basically 40yrs old, but he's willing to know if they can land somebody noteworthy. I never understand why everyone else shouldn't be the one's to take those paycuts smh.

Bronny works his ass off, so much so that he had a heart attack, heart surgery, and still came back from it stronger. Sure, he is insanely privileged, but he didn't choose where he was born, and he choose to play the sport that gave him the life he has, the game his father loves, the game that his father gave his life to. Bronny could have chosen to become an executive and his work would hurt millions of lives, he would become part of the system, but that isn't Bronny, he loves basketball, not money. I'm not surprised, he probably learned from his father. Athletes are arguably the most "deserving" billionaires. It is the one place where you can only profit off the success of others so much, at the end of the day, all the richest players (who didn't become business people), were also among the best. Bronny is a lot closer to whoever else they could get at 55th than the sons of 99% of billionaires are to the jobs they get. You think Bush Jr was smart enough to be president? Hell no. But he was born to a president. Same goes for Trump's kids. Elon Musk's father was an insanely wealthy South African slave owner. Bill Gates comes from the Rockefeller family and his father owned a large part of Seattle, his first major contract for Microsoft was an IBM contract that his mother got him by talking to her friends on the board. Even that contract was fulfilled by stealing from a brilliant engineer because Bill Gates and his friends weren't smart enough to make anything serious on their own. Mark Zuckerberg grew up wealthy and stole Facebook from another Harvard student, by the time the court ruled, the company was already worth 100 billion, the court only gave the student who made it 100 million or so. Worse, these are just public examples, all the real owners of the companies just inherit that wealth and get to control the future of the entire country through stock investments, it is a small group of families who own almost everything. Bronny has been practicing for over a decade, he has beat some of the best in his draft class in the past, that is called putting in work. He got picked at 55, most players who get drafted at 55, will never even be known, they will come and go, nobody will even remember that they spent a few years in the league. So yes, Bronny is just as good as those players. But being LeBron's son helps.

Idk, not everyone has the tools, the same discipline or talent... baseball is an example of bringing a "finished" product by baseball terms if we compare a player in Rookie League to when he gets to the majors. Sports are difficult, and when you see a young talent that lacks fundamentals, it is ok to take the time to refine them. Imagine a great baseball talent going straight to the Majors, that's probably disaster unless you're in the top 1% with unbelievable skills. Sports are disciplines and people know the hard work it takes to develop and maintain good mechanics, is not just for viewership. I get what you're saying, but "developmental league" just triggered it and it has its role.
