A couple of viewers wanted some more details on using the dioptre lens fix and a sample of horizontal lock feature. Sorry, overcast weather again, gruesome. I used a +4 close up lens, I think a +2 would be better for a longer distance between camera and face. Oh well, you get the gist of using this to improve close up 'vlogging'. As you can see, with the dioptre, if you get closer it's clearer but you still have a 'blown' out or 'blurry' background. This is an example of what the DJI and GoPro does, although it's not as bad as this but the loss of detail is very noticeable.

Thank you for doing the diopter request, that was fast. I honestly feel that the AcePro is good enough for any situation where you want to record something on the go be it landscape or the ocassional vlog. To me it feels more pleasant to see the background since you can see the different architectures, nature, etc... If you shoot on a mirorless at f1.2 might aswell shoot at home (there is a place and time for "cinematic" shots). It is also not as delicate as the Osmo Pocket 3's screen and gimbal Plus people don't look at you like you're some kind of freak carrying around a large mirorless with a gimbal :) . It is also a great separation from your phone. Some people dislike the color science but on your video it seems pretty natural. Anyways cheers again for the requests and happy holidays in advance! (maybe santa will get you that ferrari ;) )

Thank you and you're absolutely right, every camera has their place, a professional never carries one camera in your gear bag. I've been shooting mirrorless for years, I would never take that out to an environment that the action cameras goes, not with thousands I've invested in lenses lol. I'll find the closes device that will give me near quality in those environments. tbh, my mirrorless can't even shoot low light as good as this even with a $2500 lense on it, go figure lol

yup. sharper with the diopter. but blurs out the background a little as expected.

Yup, I rather have both worlds then one unlike the other cameras, GoPro actually sells a lens addon that achieves this... at $125 bucks lol

don't know why people doing the camera test not recording tin 60 fps, why ?.. 24 or 25 fps is choppy frame when panning left or right when watching on BIG TV., really want to see how smooth or video quality in 60 fps ?

Actually some of my earlier post when I first had the camera I was always shooting in 4K, 60fps, I just defaulted to 4k, 30fps hdr because it was at par with the other devices in terms of reviews. And I'm also so use to shooting 4k, 30fps now because in 60fps, my other cameras kept over heating so just a force of habit, but I've shot lots in 4k, 60fps with this camera and has yet to have any heat issues. I'll post some in the future as I would like to shoot more in 60fps, and for some odd reason, other people have noticed this, the 4k, 30fps hdr is slightly better then the 60 fps if you can believe it, the only problem is there is no HDR for 60 fps and up, which I hope insta360 will open that up in future firmware updates.

when u really close to the camera, your face is sharp however when u moved away and stay at the same sport i notice your shirt writing is blur compared without put on the lens

Thanks for testing horizon lock, but its still a bit unclear how it works and what the limits are? Also does the horizon lock also work in the pure night mode? Or is free mode required? And if free mode is needed does this work in the dark as well compared to pure ? Sorry for the questions, but nobody is talking about this unfortunate....

Horizontal locks locks your horizontal no matter how you position the camera, so if you rotate the camera physically it will keep YOU at the horizon it start recording you at. And yes, horizon lock can be used in PureVideo mode.

@@MiyagisRant thanks...so a turn of 360 degrees is possible with horizon lock? I thought it is limited to 45 degrees. Otherwise free mode and post editing is required....so maybe i am wrong

@@WiljanWiljancorrect, no not anymore, these new cameras now can do 360 lock, well at least the big boys can, not sure about the lower end models.

Yah, the +4 is too strong. I should have used a +1 and +2, it would have been perfect but I didn't have those lenses, I do now so I will do another in the outdoors instead of indoor with all 4 dioptres.

Your lens too powerful. You weren’t in focus at 2 feet nor 1 foot, but at 6 inches.

Yah, the +4 was too much, I should have used the +2 but I didn't have it with me. But the point was that using any Close Up lens would invert focus so foreground focus, blurs background.
