Hello Hugh, i flew yesterday for the first time with the Marut mount. It was a great experience. The footage is very noisy though even with enough lighting. I think the camera in auto mode chooses a high ISO. I have set it to max 800 and will try again next time. Do you usually do all your edits in one take in première or davinci resolve or do you sometimes export and continue in another editor?

I can't see much differences between 8K and 5.7k, I took some test video in a sunny day, when I can't read some text on 5.7K, I can't read it neither on 8K with same view and crop. I don't know if there is something wrong with my camera. Clips were shoot in high bitrate, low sharpness and H.265

8K just clearer and sharper but won't increase the lens quality. So at some distance when the lens can't focus on that text, 8K or 5.7K won't help.

how can you visualize any of X4's 360 images on the Apple Vision Pro?! I thought the Vision Pro doesn't have the ability to see 360 video by other companies yet... does it?!!!

Man the 8K 360 footage is NOISY from the X4.

Oh yes! But it is good kind of noise. It is a smaller sensor noise. X3 actually look too plastic-ish and too clear, which look like a security camera or the old GoPro. X4 require denoising in editing software. I did not in the comparison and just raw out of the camera.

I used to shoot a wedding under a magnolia tree this weekend. I exported a ProRes file to run through Resolve to see what I can do. Wish I had some manual exposure control from the app when recording. I bet that’s coming in an update though.

Yes, neat video removes the noise well. Resolve also has good noise removal and Topaz video ai @@hughhou

I think on auto the camera cranks up the ISO. You can better set the ISO to max 800. Thats a tip from another KZfaqr
