Hi Zander, What would be good to know is what the IQ that gets exported with each resolution and frame rate and how the Me Mode and Single Mode compares to the action cams (A4, GP12, Ace/AP). Thanks!

Yes, great video & description. But u don’t mention iPhone or Apple Watch support? Quite a few people have been saying that they are having trouble with their iPhones and that the X4 doesn’t connect to Apple Watch, like the x3

What camera are you using to shoot this flog on as looks very nice quality and liking the colours. I own the X3 and leaning towards upgrading to X4 as the X3 is fantastic for water sports shooting and the 60fps is appealing for smoother footage and also slow motion Along with the cleaner image. Enjoyed watching 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Been keen to get a 360 style camera for recording band practices, my main issue I’ve had is none of them seem to support external audio devices and we would want to take a line out from the mixing desk so we don’t have to sync everything in post. It looks like you’re using a mini jack mic on the cam, is that correct?

Yes you can link the rode wireless go to the camera using the mic adapter, I’m presuming you will be able to link other mics to it using the same adapter 👍

Thank you Zander for this video. However, all KZfaq tests repeat the same boring technical sheet, omitting some very important parts. I am particularly surprised not to see any data concerning low light. We know that the X3 is bad in low light. We also know that the Ace Pro is excellent in low light. Why not compare the Ace Pro and the X4 when it comes to lowlight?

I’m looking for a small camera to capture my sons football matches. I’ve got an insta360 go 3, but anything further than 20 metres is poor quality when zoomed in. I like the light form factor. Any suggestions? Should I look at the x4 for this or something else?

Ace pro would be good for that with Clarity zoom, means you can zoom 2 times and not lose any quality 👍

Hard to find any information about remote via Apple Watch. It keeps getting mentioned, but doesn’t seem to actually work. Do you have anything on this?

I had the blue tooth remote on x2 and it’s kept losing signal, I have the x3 and believe you can use Apple Watch to camera as a remote but not tried it yet, I have heard that the the blue tooth connection is not great from watch to x3 as same Bluetooth issues. I wondering if the gesture mode to turn the camera on and off will work better for both you and I which is in the x4 as you kite surf and I windsurf so similar issues when trying to press the record button.

I have the insta360 x4 camera and it’s a lot of fun but for some reason it’s difficult for me to edit these 360 videos in the insta360 phone app. My brain won’t let me learn the edit app quickly.

If you have a decent computer or laptop in the insta studio is easier to edit on, yes, you don’t get all the AI feature like you do in the phone app but it may help you as now the studio editing software has been improved and we now have a timeline which is so much better than it was and you can export it to any other editing software and there’s lots of free ones out there and it automatically saves on the Insta studio to come back to it later if it’s getting tedious.
