Adobe is a tool mainly of UI and UX designers but it is also surprisingly good to create carousels. In this beginner tutorial, I show you how to make a simple Instagram carousel and export it out for quality content.

hey! is there a way to make the carousel less sensitive and make it stop on each individual picture in the sequence? for example if I have a horizontal scroll on 5 images of products, can I make it so as the mouse drags over it doesn't continuously scroll but rather fixate on the next image and then so on? if that makes sense? I know I can link prototypes and all the great features with that but I'm trying to stick to one artboard and I want a more static effect...

hmm not sure you can do that in XD tbh. I use Adobe illustrator mostly for carousels.

Hi dear Jeremy, could you explain me why would you use xd over illustrator or photoshop to create a carousel? I have also seen ppl doing stories? But I cant see why would you use xd - Ill be glad to hear you opinion.

I personalyl use illustrator it's the best with typography and fastest. XD is just preference.

6:20 you can't, in xd it will automatically paste it to the same position ( x, y ) of previous artboard.

Illustrator to be honest, it's better with typography and shapes etc

Can I ask what the benefits would designing in XD rather than photoshop?

AI and XD are faster when to comes to the actual typography and layout and shapes/colouring n my opinion. Photoshop is slow with those things but great for photo editing so if you use lots of edited images use photoshop.

It is harder you don't have much control also you can overlay images over two slides you would have to put it on one slide each.

Now if I am a newbie, how I should start, where can I learn, what software I should consider best, and where can I get resources (eye-catching photos)?
