Near the last step, when you're verifying the replication took place, you need to mention that it may take some time for the replication to take place, and the object for the new controller may take some time to appear.

Great Video. My question is how can I remove servers that no longer exist in the active directory sites and services?

Thanks for the video. What will happen if DC01 went down, will DC02 still work? Or is replication is just somekind of a back up? Thanks in advance.

it's good and useful , may i know what is the purpose of adding additional DC ?

Usually as a backup. If one goes down, there still needs to be a DC to receive authentication requests.

You need to mention that if you are replicating the root server's DNS you should add the new server's IP into the DHCP scope of the root server. Otherwise clients that authenticate with the new replication server will take an age to logon because they will not have the DNS IP of the server to which they have authenticated.

+syed adil kareem I too have the same question. How did he do that

+arjun reddy I have the same question. I looked it up but all the VBscripts that are doing the job are not downloadable anymore. There is a Powershell command that get this information: netdom Query fsmo. So i created a .ps script and let a vbscript launch that and that VBscript launched is launced by BGinfo, but thats not the correct method i guess.
