Amazing Video. In case anyone of you is still facing that ports wala issue, just double click the Tomcat server link in the server section, and make sure none of the ports is marked as "-". Mention proper port number there!

Hi, makes sense. I have a question. So the server is now alive. What if I want to extend this little demo such that, I have a webpage where I click a button and I'm expecting some date to show up, given that the data is on my local MySQL database? How do I make this happen? I'm basically confused about how I link the database to the server and where I write my logic for the fetching part and where I write the webpage code.

Good tutorial, but using Eclipse 4.6.3, changing server.xml at in C:\Program Files did not change the port that Eclipse was using for its Tomcat server instance. I had to change server.xml in my eclipse workspace directory (\servers\Tomcatxxx...), then restart eclipse.

there is no apache folder in runtime to add like you got with different versions of tomcat.. and even if i browse and select the folder of tomcat it shows "No new server runtime environment were found."

*For error of ports* 1) double click on - Tomcat v9.0 Server at localhost in *severs view* (whatever version you are using) 2) you'll see port section in overview... and change port accordingly... (i) Tomcat admin port - 8006 (ii) HTTP - 8081 (iii) AJP - 8007
