Install BattleNet on your Steam Deck (2024)

Күн бұрынIn this video, I'll be showing you the most updated method (as of June 2024) on how to install Battle.net (and subsequent games) to your Steam Deck. I'll also show you how to install World of Warcraft and the ConsolePort addon so that you can play this on your Steam Deck, but you can follow the same process to install other Battle.Net games (such as Overwatch and Diablo).
Please note that in this video, I saved all of this to my SD card (to save that internal storage space), but if you're saving to the internal storage the process is the same (your save locations will just be different)

Why exactly where you not chosing SD in the consoleport plugin for keybindings?

Honestly, force of habit. I've used the Xbox option since before they had a SD option. After I saw your question, I checked between the two options, doesn't look like there's much of a difference except the SD had mappings for a P1/2/3/4. I'm assuming these are for the back paddle buttons, but I couldn't get it to register. But honestly, either option you choose it's pretty much the same.

@@JC_Gaming3333 maybe u need to enable the back paddle buttons in the non-steam Battle-net entry itself? kinda how you'd do it with regular games by enabling Steam Input in Controller Settings, etc.

Can this only be played in desktop mode?

Nope! While the setup needs to take place in desktop mode, once you actually have it all set up and in your steam library, you can launch the battlement launcher (and then a specific game) from gaming mode.

Are you forcing with Proton Experimental? If that doesn't work, I've had success with forcing with Proton 7.0-6
