Thanx for your great explaining video Fast delivery and after connecting it worked at once. A lot of hassle to neatly eliminate the cords etc, but this has succeeded and it looks staples and works as described, I am happy with a well -functioning iOS CarPlay in my Skoda Octavia combi 2014

Thank you for the video, i try to put the module behind the screen like you but i found out that it is much easier to put it behind the glovebox, there is lots of space there.This way there is no need to remove the screen ,preventing the possibility of breaking pins( your model of screen comes out without removing the entire frame ,including the vent fans,but other models need this,like mine, making this step much harder & unnecessary)

Thank you for the information, and the guide!❤ I have Octavia VRS 2014, and just installed this module today. All works fine, just that the music/source stops every time you switch from the car to the added module/multimedia, once you press the "Media" button. So you have to choose "Bluetooth" when on the car's original multimedia, and when you press the button to swich to the module, then the music plays. So in general the "Media" Button switches the audio source every time it is pressed. Second inconvinience person s that whennyou switch off the engine, whithout removing the key, the module stops, so the power to it is cut. Other then these two side issues, it all works. 😊

Thank you for the video explaining these devices. There is little information available (even from supplier) on how these devices work and operate. Question: can this unit work with factory Golf 7 reverse camera and front aftermarket camera? example, reverse gear selected, factory reverse camera on screen, when drive/forward gear selected, the screen switch to aftermarket front camera. Has this been tested?

Hello. I haven't tested to see if it works on models with a front camera, so I can't say if it works. I think it could only work with the rear camera.

Question, on Factory Mode there is a option Active Aux -- does it mean if enabled -- the manual switch to Aux is not needed ?

Hello. I haven't tested to activate that Auto AUX from the factory and I don't know if you should activate Auxiliary Input every time you start or not.

Hi. Hello. You must have an active sound source from the phone connected to the Android Auto / Carplay module, for example the Online radio application. After this you will find the active AUX IN option in the list.

when you reverse then the parking sensors turns on but when you put drive then the parkingsensors turn of can we do something that make the screen stay a couple of secounds on the parkinsensor screen?

Hi Adrian, greetings from the UK I have just bought an Octavia from 2015 (My first car) and I want to retro fit android auto. I notice you have 3 different videos in which you do this. 1. Install an android box 2. install the 10 inch head unit 3. instal this wirelss android auto module. Which one do you prefer and recommend? Please help

Hello. 1. I liked that Android Box, but it seems that no one sells it anymore, probably it is no longer manufactured. 2. The Android unit is very good, especially the versions with Octa Core processor, but the simplicity of the menu to make the car settings is missing. One more thing, if your car has Canton premium audio system, this Android unit is not compatible. 3. I think this module is the best option among the three: it works well and you keep the original multimedia, compatible with CANTON audio. I hope I helped you make the decision easier.

Hello. In the module interface, go to the menu Settings / Factory Mode (pass: 0301) / Use original BT. Try to activate ON here and see if it will work.

El lugar de instalación no tiene nada que ver con el hecho de que no puedas escucharte hablando por teléfono. En el menú del módulo hay una opción si usar el bluetooth del auto o el módulo bluetooth, elige una de las opciones y mira si funcionará bien.

Hello. The car on which I installed the module did not have the original reversing camera, so I cannot tell you clearly if the original camera works or not. Theoretically it should work, the important thing is that it switches automatically when you go into reverse gear. You may have to put a cable from the positive wire of the reversing lamp, so the module knows when to switch to the reversing camera.

Hello. This Android Auto / Carplay module does not use Android as an operating system. I don't know its operating system but it works well, as for the firmware update, I haven't seen it exist, but you should ask the seller.

Hello Adrian, I ordered the camera and the module from your link. I didn't have a camera on my Skoda Octavia before. Now I have installed the module and connected the camera to the “Rear CVBS” output. When I put my car in reverse only the original Parkpilot screen appears but my camera doesn't work. When I connect the camera to the "Front Camera" or "AV" connection I see the image. Do I have to code my Skoda's reverse camera first for it to work or do I have the wrong setting? I guess it is impossible to listen to the radio and use Android Auto at the same time (AA/CP voice prompts temporarily mute radio) as in the original AA/CP enabled multimedia units.

Hello. It is not possible to listen to the original radio and receive voice prompts from AA or Carplay mode. But you can listen to online radio through AA or Carplay, I use TuneIN and it's very good.

@@Adrian_AFD I was afraid of such an answer, unfortunately listening to the radio over LTE can be quite cost-generating and requires good LTE signal strength. I don't need Android Auto in local traffic in my city. On the other hand, during longer trips, I like to listen to the FM radio, especially considering it has much better coverage than LTE or even 3G. So this product is not for me :(

The version you have in description doesn't have wireless Android auto, I'm still considering buying one but i have 8" discover pro MIB1 Radio with Dynaudio with life time map updates.. so... and from what I read you lose a lot of audio quality with these modules if you have Dynaudio. Maybe not worth it in my case.

Hello. It has and works Android Auto Wireless, see in this video that I tested with Android Auto Wireless. Tested on Skoda with MIB1 and CANTON audio, it sounds excellent, I didn't notice any loss of sound quality.

Thanks for the video! I tried to install the module in an Octavia mk3 2014 with Amundsen MIB(1). When testing the screen remained blank and the radio was playing the station it was set to before I started. After removing the module and returning to the orginal sittuation I realised I did not test with the engine running. Is this required? Is the module only starting with the engine running? And therefore it is normal the screen remains blank when the engine is not running?

Hi, I installed the module like one month ago and can confirm: the module is only powered when the ignition is turned on. Besides from that you have to set "aux" as the media input. When switching to the module by holding the media button, make sure you do not do this while in media tab, as holding the media key while in the tab is also the hotkey for switching the input.

@@andreasn3995 Thanks for your reply. But my module seems to have a more stuborn problem. The OEM display remains blank. I do not see anything, not even the display of the original OEM functionality. Also the buttons on the OEM unit are not working. The steering wheel buttons are still working. I can control the audio from the OEM unit this way and I can change stations and sources this way for example. But the screen doesn't show anything. I tried the various dipswitch settings and restarted the car after every change. I double checked all connections severeral times and all Is connected as indicated in the intstructions. I seriously suspect I have a faulty module.

@@evandenboom OK. Regarding the switches it should be the same configuration as in the video just with switch 5 off instead of on. As everything is working but the display with the buttons it has to be either a faulty module or faulty cables. You could try asking the vendor to send you a new set of cables. Or you just send back the module and buy a new one.

Interested in this as well. Installed on 2015 GTI with MIB1 and factory rear camera does not show if the module is active. Upon exiting to the stock software it works as expected.

Hello. Normally the module will use the microphone of the original multimedia system, so you should be heard just as well. Check in the module menu / Settings / Audio Settings / MIC sensitivity (I hope I'm not wrong) some setting for the microphone. Try some adjustments on those values, I hope it works for you.

Instalezi aplicația AAAD, apoi din meniul AAAD dai la carstream (e prima opțiune) instalezi carstream din AAAD și asta e tot. Te conectezi cu telefonul la android auto și o sa îți apară car stream cu iconit de yt și o sa îți meargă video pe navigatie. AAAD tre sa il descarci ca apk de pe net :d

Pai e logic sa nu auzi radioul masinii dacă treci pe sursa AUX IN ca să auzi indicațiile Waze. Dar poti folosi o aplicație de radio online și când ai telefonul conectat la modul pe Android Auto sau Carplay poți asculta radio la calitate mult mai buna decât cea a radioului FM. Eu folosesc aplicația TuneIN.

Hi, thank you very much for the video that both inspired me to purchase and led me through the installation! Yesterday I installed the module into Octavia 2014 with Amundsen and everything works except one thing. When I shift to reverse (manual) normally the original radio displays parking camera plus sensors view. It doesn't do that when I'm using the module. It is kind of annoying to switch back and forth while driving reverse. Does anyone know if that can be fixed?
