@@scottkaplan7000 I ended up pulling the trigger on it, and can say it's been worth it so far. I'm on month 2 of having it and I really love it so far. No complaints. Increase in power and the delivery of said power is very smooth but you def still notice the increase.

You have to cycle through the driving mode options to open the valves when revving the car from park. If your in dynamic, go to comfort and back to dynamic and it’ll open the valves. You’ll know because the car will be idling around 1k rpm’s, then you’ll get some nice pops.

next time you do a 0-60 remember to use launch control and you'll get low 4s and maybe high 3s depends on condition. these cars don't launch well if you don't use launch control. to use it you gotta put your car in dynamic, transmission in sport, turn off traction control, then slam the brake peddle all the way and slam the gas peddle all the way. wait for rpm to rise it should go up to around 3500rpm wait 2 seconds to build boost then let go of your brakes and off you go.

Hey, great video I got my Audi S5 sports back couple months ago and just ordered the IE Stage 1 also when you download it tune, did you end up hooking up the battery tender to the car or did you never hook up the car charger for the battery? I’m just worried and don’t wanna crack the ECU.

I didn't hook anything up as far as battery charger... if it makes you feel better, buy one on amazon for $20

This was so sick, wonder why your 0-60 times were slow. I definitely don’t think a 6. Something is accurate. But I can see how it drops by nearly a whole second after the tune. Got my tune ordered and otw

How did you handle the red line limiter issue common with the A5 stage 1 tune? If you are in drive or sport mode and do a hard launch, it will appear to stall shifting from 1st to 2nd. I have been able to work around this by going to manual mode. I have the APR stage 1 tune on my 2016 A5.

This is an S5 with an IE tune so i cannot help you with any A5 APR Tune issues.. maybe you should contact APR!

Idk what you are saying exactly but here was my process: 1. purchase tune and obd2 from integrated engineering website 2. download software and connect obd2 to laptop 3. using the obd2 you bought with the tune, it automatically loads the necessary amount of credits with it so you dont need to worrry 4... in the future you need to purchase tunes through their website and link to your obd2 they gave you

IE is so good for tuning. Their customer support is really good too, I'm lucky to live 30 miles from their HQ they really helped me stage 2 my A4 to really crisp levels, and the pops sound like a GUN

Add the intercooler next and do another test and update us. Then CAI and another test. I've got a 2019 A7 so we pretty much got the same engine but I'm at 335hp. I'm not tuning yet for a few more years when I get another vehicle then I'll start tuning the A7.

What frustrates me the most is that people just make assumptions and ask or answer stupid questions about fuel consumption after engine tunes. You physically change the way the car ''thinks'' by tuning it, you're requesting a larger quantitie of petrol into the cylinders to gain power, quite simple really more fuel/oxygen = more power. After the tune the engine now has a different power curve, it will be stronger on the full rev scale as it just simply injects more fuel at all times. You might think it uses less petrol but that's just a placebo effect. Wonder why any worthy tuner who up tunes a vehicle never guarantee's fuel efficiency improvements. You'd need to down tune a vehicle for it to safe fuel as your limiting the amount of fuel going into the engine... All these chip tuning is a waste of money. My friend chip tunned his car from 150 apparently to 200bhp and my car that was tuned by a tuner on a dyno produces 192hp and I walked him every race we had... (same cars)

I just flashed mine today (both TCU stage 2/ECU stage 1) and ended up adding an APR intercooler because those temperatures even at stock could easily climb up to 230+. Have an Airgate intake from AWE and an ECS blowoff valve spacer and I could easily tell you that those swooshes sound so damn clean and when you left off and release bOOOOst it sounds so good as well. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

switch to jackal they been around for decades better tuning and you get all the stage tunes for 800 so if you wanna go stage 2 you dont have to pay extra

$1100!!! For a stage 1 tune?? That’s crazy. Dollar/Hp-TQ not worth it. Maybe the stage 2 is, but then you have to upgrade parts on car as well. So to gain a second it would cost about $3500 total with chip, parts, labor , etc. This is making me 2nd guess on buying a 2018-2019 S5. Might go American now lol!

@@tomyaiiuh Beautiful car Btw! I was going for a 2019 S5 Prestige with the fat 5 star wheel. Price was $38500, 45k miles. so I applied. Dealer was not truthful and after I applied, they tacked on a $2000 fee plus a $1600 appearance protection fee. Add taxes and warranty, it’s close to $47000! So I’ll keep looking. But the sportback is rare in Florida to find for a decent deal. I literally might have no choice but to flip to a different car completely. EVERYTIME I call about one, the first thing they say is it might sell fast and very high demand. So too many red flags. Love the car. But they make it too difficult to get unless your willing to over pay

I sold my Camaro SS for a B9 S4 2 months ago, Camaro was FBO, E-85, cammed. The hp gain for $1000 is definitely worth it on the b9. Camaro tunes never costed me more than $600 but they also never gave me 100 hp/tq gains alone. It’s worth it in my opinion, I just got my powerlink today and I’m excited

UPDATE: Ended up getting a 2019 white S5 with red interior. $33k with only 25k miles on it!! A month later, the water pump went! (Heard there was a recall on it, but Audi won’t admit to it) Anyway, Good thing I paid $4300 extra for a 4 yr warranty. The cost at Audi was $2900 to fix water pump, cost me $0!! All in all, Car is amazing! Can’t wait to black out everything, Grill, wheels, spoiler, window trim, etc! Tune will be after blackouts , and when I get bored of stock speed lol
