Thank you for the video. This gave me an idea. Instead of a usb port, I'm going to wire it to a usb/12v adapter to a portable Blackvue battery for my dash cam. That way, I can power my dash cam instead of hard wiring it to the car battery. It ensures the dash cam will be on while I'm away for 30 hours at a time if fully charged.

Thanks for the video. I have a similar head unit but I haven't installed it yet. I thought that the two included USB cables would be capable of charging devices like phones and dash cams. If they can't do that what's their purpose? Only media reading?

The USB won't charge your phone because of the power output from the Headunit is very low. They are meant for media purposes only.

@@eazidiy You are right. I just measured the output of the usb ports of my chinese android unit (Kroak K-CS01) and it's 5V 0,41A. Too low for charging any device...

will both ports of USB/USB-C dual port item listed in the description work for charging and carplay at the same time if connected to aftermarket stereo. I'm assuming it's fine to just connect USB-C since my stereo only has one USB port.

The power output from the Android radio is low to charge your phone. It is only meant for media use.

Why did you install the single usb on the left? Is it because the usb goes into your stereo to play songs off your phone instead of using aux? I was planning to just get one like you have on the right but was wondering the reasoning for the one in the left. Thank you!

Hi, I replaced the factory stock stereo with an Android headunit. So I do not need AUX port. I have 2 USB ports that came with my Android radio, so I installed the USB port on the left for easy connection of media devices such as my phone or USB sticks.

I like mines with the AUX port so I'm gonna leave that be. For the USB port that you installed on the right side, can this be installed on a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE? I'm using the OEM factory FM radio that came with the car.

Im confused, if you used thr ports for the cigarette lighter to power the usb chargers . What about the the cigarette lighter power , what happen to it and how did you solved it

It still works because the 12v wire was split.
