I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. kzfaq.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! We don't have a lawn sweeper so I wanted to use our bagger attachment (still in the box untouched) to help with leaves on the property. I've been arguing with my husband for months, him saying it's gonna be too big of a pain to put it on and off. I told him to drag it out of the barn and I would take care of it. You made it so quick and easy and now I can install it in record time and flash him that sweet marital "I told you so" smile 😉🤣

Thank you so much for making this video. Although I have a 2018 model with the clear tube, I was able to get everything together up to the bag hangers using your video. My old eyes had a hard time with the small print of the instructions and it was much easier following your video. Everything changed after the hangers and I had to go by the directions. I got it together with only one hang up. Again, very good instructions on your part. I just wish that it had been the newer model!
@thomrider5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I wish I had a clear tube like yours. Enjoy your mower and new bagger, let me know how it works for you.

@@thomrider I love it! My tractor has the electronic fuel injection and starts right up and I no longer have to worry about the problems with gas with ethanol. The bagger actually worked better than I expected. I had read a lot of negativity. I think many of the past problems have been addressed. One thing was that the bagger was falling off. They furnished a new locking nut and washer to replace the wing nut and now there is no way the bagger will fall off. Also, better seals to prevent dirt blowing out from the top and all over the back of the operator. My latches worked just fine so they are better also. I got up all my leaves in my big driveway which is gravel and they only thing was how many times I had to empty the bags...no big deal. I decided to mulch the leaves in my yard, so I just let the bagger overfill and the leaves mulched just fine. I had bought the mulching kit, but no need. It was easy to clear the blockage. I heard a lot of people talk about how hard it was to clear a blockage. I simply dug out the clear tube without disconnecting it and then put the deck in its highest position and then just simply dug out the plug from the discharge going underneath. Never disconnected anything and it worked great. I am very pleased with the whole set up. I recommend the cub cadet tractor and bagger if anyone is thinking about getting them.
@thomrider5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review. I love the fuel injection as well. My only real gripe is with the bagger clogging with slightly wet grass.
@Tinstar25 жыл бұрын
@@thomrider I had some slightly wet leaves and didn't have a problem. I did something that someone suggested and I believed that it helped...I sprayed the inside of the bagger tube and around the discharge area with WD-40. Saw this suggestion on a youtube channel and thought...what the heck. It may have helped!

@wildbill23c5 жыл бұрын
The bracket you put together at the beginning of the video that mounts on the back of the lawn tractor is the exact same bracket for the rear weight kit used for the snow blower. I bought that bracket/weight kit as I purchased the 42" snow blower last year, talk about a pain in the butt to setup that snow blower sure was. Luckily most of the stuff stays on the lawn tractor so now it only takes about 15 minutes to install/remove the snow blower. I haven't purchased the bagger yet, but I really need to I guess especially for the fall leaf cleanup HAHA. I only have the Cub Cadet XT1 but the accessories between the 2 lawn tractors are the same so your video will help XT1 owners as well, and these are the same for the current model year 2019 units as well. Great very useful video, definitely will come back when I get my bagger.

Mine must be a 2016. I missed seeing the vent on yours which on mine is a section that hooks into the side panel which hooks into the back portion. (Cost to replace just the vent) Also I have a clear/see-thru plastic tubing leading from the cover to the mower decking. I like that part of mine best but I sure like your curved out portion of your top to close over your tubing! Wish mine were that straight forward. Thanks. I appreciate your video just as check against mine! I was 73 yr old female Senior when I got mine and now at 75 wish I had someone to change the blades and to readjust the belt that tends to come off with the least amount of a stump or uneven levels (driveway to grass has a 3" ledge I have to do down off of.) Unlike your video, my instructions were not that easily read because the diagrams were rather cluttered and small on that old brown colored booklet.

Nice video! I smiled when you had the same issue mounting the bagger lid, as I also had to wiggle the thing to finish mounting the lid. I would add, a person will need a couple of rolls of black two inch black tape to hold the chute together after the first year. The flat piece of plastic is rolled into a tube with junjie fasteners, and these break, Also, the thrid year, the sides of the tube started to slit. This helps keep the chute rigid and reduces clogging the chute. Also, there is no real latch for the bagger cover, just a hole in the plastic to anchor on the latch pin. My wife used a rubber strap with the "s" hooks, took out the hooks and pushed the hole of one end of the strap onto the latch pin. Then, she wrapped the strap around the lid and cut a hole in the strap to make a tight closure. She cut off the excess. This prevents grass from blowing out the edges of the lid, making a neater lawn. While not part of the assembly, a good tip is a steel one inch putty knife seemed to work best when scrapping the underside of the deck, with the blades removed for sharpening or replacement.
@thomrider4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the information. I have been lucky that my tubing and lid are still in great shape. Sounds like you came up with some great fixes for the issues. Thank you for watching.

Great video! I was just wondering what let's you know when the bags are full? My old craftsman has a little wheel that stops spinning when full. Just curious
@thomrider6 жыл бұрын
You have to check you bags to see how full they are or when the mower sound changes you know your completely full bags and the tube, which then you have to take apart and clean out. I just reach back behind me and feel the bags till I think they are getting full and empty them. No indicators on this set up. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Great video. I do have one question for you. If you don't mind, what is the width or your shed door? I am considering the same model XT2 w/42 inch deck. I also have a storage shed and the door is exactly 48 inches. Does the tractor fit into the shed if you tip-up the plastic chute on the deck? My current tractor IH Cub 105 (1968 model) has a 48 inch deck with non moving metal chute and I have to leave it out when the mower deck is installed, which is spring, summer, and into the fall. Thanks.

Working in reverse it looks like for me to use the cart all I would have to do is remove the bracket assembly that is attached to the tractor by a pin and spring clip. This was a good instructional video of mounting the bag system. However, there are some points that I don't like...first, the mounting bracket that utilizes the trailer hole, second, those bags are really small like office waste can size. Unless they have larger bags it would take many stoppages and repetitive emptying procedures. Plus, does the lid lock down the bags to keep them from sliding out if going up an inline? This was not addressed.

Is it easy to to take the tubing on and off frequently? You make it appear so. I live where it is often wet & foggy in the morning or three. Being impatient also, I do not like waiting until dry, so....easy on & off the tubing?

Once you have it installed, is it easy to take off and put back on, without redoing the whole process?

Fairly easy. But I just remove the black chute. I don’t remove the bags on the back. It you could.

Blades with cutting edge toward the ground. My blades are the same size so either one can be put on the spindles.
