Replacing the 2005 Quietmaster in the computer lab of my school. I had the maintenance guy and a couple friends help out.
No, I am not taking the old unit. It still works but it's beat to hell and the maintenance guy will be taking it to the scrap yard. Too big and heavy for me.

Nice I really like the new editing style! Those kuhls are probably the best new units on the market today by far

Thanks very much! They certainly are worth what you pay. These are the best built units today. Thank Friedrich for "quality over compromise"!

Vann Berg HVAC yeah for sure and Im glad they went away from lg since lg along with haier are the only brands I hate with a passion lol

@@WeatherWheelHVAC The Kuhl, WallMaster and the PTACs are the only "true" Friedrich built units. The Chill, UniFit and whatever else is Frigidaire or Haier these days I believe. Also the rotary on this new one sounds like the Bristol Benchmark recip they use in larger chassis, that's nice.

Vann Berg HVAC I think the new chill series (used to be called the chill premier) and unifits are made by midea since the outsides of them look like frgidaires with friedrich logos and the lg versions got discontinued as far as I know

That unit weighs over 200 lbs. If you tried this by yourself, that KCL24A30B would squash you like a bug! 💀💀💀

Do you still like it? How much sq ft does it cover? I am considering buying one for my apartment. It’s an oven during the summer 😢

Sorry for the late reply. The unit is working great other than the fan motor hums constantly, but it was like that from day one.

These units are ugly but they are troopers. I've never seen one that is completely dead. Even my refrigerant leak QM still worked until it was replaced.

Yes and Quietmasters were very efficient too, a lot of ill informed hatred on them unfortunately.
