Have your tuner add low boost fueling to your tune and run it on the highest tune your trans will take. These bigger, fixed vane turbos need more fuel and rpm to get and stay going.

I gotcha, it's been a pain to deal with CTT tuning to send me a different tune. I'll ask them to just send me that!

awesome content just wish the camera angle was better to see exactly how you’re removing everything. i’m on the process of doing this to my 4th gen and it’s hard to find good videos to see how it’s done step by step. thanks for the vid

I jus wish they would make longer hood and fenders now that would be bad ass truck and get all the motor out from under side of dash and everybody likes a long hood !!!

Does it matter if the housing is like yours or if it has the 90 degree angle where it connects to the intercooler?

I just ordered my s464 2nd gen swap kit from them with stainless manifold the works I heard nothing but good about them! If interested can get you 5% off any order

Their turbos are pretty good quality I haven't had any issues besides a small oil leak from the return!

ShowMe Bass it wasn’t horrible besides the guy forgetting to order my ccv delete and then I accidentally connected it. I got insane pressure from my oil dipstick turn the truck off right away. It’s been smoking white I don’t have water in the oil and no in and out shaft play on the turbo so the seal must be good. I honestly don’t know what it can be gets worse when it warms up.

What kind of boost levels are you seeing, and at what rpm? What tuner? I did the same swap on my '14, and I'm only getting a max of 15psi at 3000 rpm. Running the RaceMe Ultra, and can't seem to get any support (but may be an issue due to quarantine on their end).

At WOT I was making well over 35psi, that is when my factory sensor maxed out at, so idk how much boost I was really making. It got to 35 pretty quick though.

I had custom tuning written, solved the problem. Made 35psi easy.

Did you stud the motor or not necessary in this application?

Not likely you would blow a head gasket considering all the drive pressure goes away once ya open it up. I ran 08 6.7 for 250k with s369 balls to the walls often. Had a set of well wrote tunes on it though. The stock turbo outside of its map puts a lot of back pressure on the engine. As long as you dont drive like a pissed of teenager 24/7 you should be fine. A set of studs are worth it if ya push a single to its max.

I do not have head studs and from the research I've done, it doesn't seem like you need to. I never had any issues.

@@LaytonEstates did you do any other mods with this? Will I need valve springs, rods, head studs or will this just work by itself without causing any problems
