This video just showed up in my recommendations. This entire bunker stuff is fascinating to me. I totally respect the level of preparation some people are welling to do to protect themselves and their loved ones. It just amazes me that some people aren't convinced they'll die someday, one way or another.
@aikibaby
@aikibaby 2 жыл бұрын
Most people involved in this “protecting themselves and their loved ones” are mentally unstable and entirely focused on the WRONG things for long term survival. Any “shelter” company that sells you a “shelter” with ingress/egress through a flat hatch on the ground is inviting you to commit suicide.

"They're coming down th stairs! Use the escape tunnel!" -- Crawl into and climb up escape tunnel, only ~30' from stairs, directly into your attacker's hands. To be useful, the escape tunnel must go at least 100-200 yards away (preferably more) from the bunker, and there must be some natural sight obstruction between the escape hatch exit and bunker to prevent anyone gathered around the bunker from directly observing the escapees. The get-away from the escape hatch exist needs to be prepped, too. If the immediate surrounding area is covered by leaves and sticks, people will hear escapees. Mud might be wet and leave traces. A trail of rocks would be needed, but disguised by heavy bushes on two sides to prevent being recognized as a trail. Yes, this sort of stuff is more complicated that it may originally seem. Air and exhaust pipes rising out of the earth directly above the bunker are pointers to it's location. You might as well put up signs announcing you have a bunker. For best safety, they would have to be routed hundreds of years away and include some sort of temperature equalization scheme with the outdoors and possibly odor filters. They['re putting the bunker directly under a house... Be afraid.

Do you have a check list so to speak before moving on to each stage, for example making sure all welding points are completed to the required standard during installation? How come the escape tunnel doesn't have concrete around it? What PSI rating was the concrete? Did your team continuously vibrate the concrete to remove air bubbles as it was poured? @@joegreenbbka yeah they said they vibrate but the way it was said in the video, along with inconsistent footage of it being used throughout the time lapse led to me asking if it was continuous. Asking as it would make a big difference to the structural integrity if it was not. Thanks for point out about concrete round escape tunnel I missed that. 4-6ft of sand or another filling (soil is common) in escape tunnels is normal helps prevent radiation, leakage and provides a sound buffer. at 300k... people should just build these into the side of a hill, have 1 compartment thats a non "bunker" living room with window, that has the ability to be "blast screened." But still to give a natural light/living area when open... then. Live in or use the rest of the bunker as a home or cottage. Why pay for a "home" you aren't going to use regularly as well. still safe from tornado, hurricane, storm... drop a nice heavy steel blast shield over the window, maybe with concrete and "rock" shutters that swing shut to camouflage it

The problem with these little companies building bunkers is not the concrete walls, but the location. You can use any type of materials to build underground shelters, but the most important part of building a bunker is to have access to underground water, a well. You can't just dig a ditch in the middle of nowhere and called it a bunker, it just doesn't make any sense. Of course, those are not bombing shelters due to the type of concrete, and the depth of such bunkers, but at least the interior is nice. I would suggest with a bunch of water bottles, a person would survive at least a few weeks. Nuclear war will force people to take shelter during the summer season due to dry radiated sand blown all over the place by the seasonal storms. If your bunker has no access to a freshwater reserve, you'll die. That's why governments chose locations with underground water reserves, they don't just build anywhere.

@@alexanderblohme5044 no, XRP isn’t owned or controlled by anybody or any company, but there are lots of Bitcoin Maxi’s who will try to tell you it is. You’re thinking of the company Ripple. Ripple has a lot of XRP, and their whole business model is based on using XRP so they have an interest in its success but they don’t own or control it. XRP is decentralized, if the community voted to burn it all Ripple wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Ripple does have nodes but only a fraction of them, so they can’t do anything to the XRP ledger unless the community votes to do it. You might be thinking of Ethereum, there’s a MUCH better case to be made that a single company owns the Ethereum network, not to mention the blatant corruption between them and the SEC, along with a lot of their early investors. If you’ve been following the case at all you know exactly what I mean. Either way… just watch.
