Installing a Bosch service kit in a Bosch GSH 11 E hammer.

These bosch GSH 11 E hammers can get quite bit of abuse over their lives and do require a service kit if the hammer action becomes weak or stops completely.
This 2014 hammer is still in quite good condition but is no longer hammering. A service kit is all it needs to get it hammering like new again.
It is not unusual for these hammers to come in for repair that are over 20 years old.
When the inside is excessively worn or the grease is burnt up, it's a good idea to also cheamge the top needle bearing also.

Man!, I am so impressed by how quickly you take tools apart and put them back together. Thanks to this video I was able to buy a cheap GSH11E that wasn't hammering, but was in overall good condition. I put a full service kit, changed the needle bearings and now it works like a charm. Great machine for a fraction of the cost !

What’s the story with the big felt ring? Is it some sort of vibration dampener? It seems to do an equally good job sucking up moisture and corroding the metal cap under it…

I want to buy an old school bosch hammer and put a service kit. They are better than the new ones? Do you recommend a demolition hammer that is the one that you presented?

this model is around for several decades i guess. still sold new today so you can have a old school new one
