Thanks for sharing. Ordered our Diamondback last week for our new Nissan Frontier. Estimated ship date was scheduled for March 7th. Received email yesterday (Feb 28th) that it was shipped. Love their customer service. The Mrs picked Diamondback over everything else. Gotta keep momma happy.

Great video with good camera angles to see what you were doing! Just ordered mine last night and spared no expense adding the Cargo 8 Bin, there new internal lights they just released yesterday and fast track shipping as I need it for a trip first of July! Love diamondback bedcovers. Just got my HD diamondback installed on my 2018 f250 Platinum on Friday, took about an hour start to finish by myself. I'm surprised yours didnt come on a pallet, mine was banded to a huge pallet when it was dropped off by Estes. I will say these covers will last, I had my first diamondback HD cover from 2012 until last year when i traded my truck in and it still looked like the day i installed it, even after 8 years of sun and many trips with ATVs up top.

Love the snow......I tried installing mine today in Las Vegas, where the temperature is currently 114 at my house. I got about halfway done but now every surface I touch burns me. So I leave it half installed until tomorrow, sigh. But your video is helpful, so thank you :)

Useful video. Thanks. It's funny but i've decided on the bedcover, the smooth, black Diamondback HD, before deciding on which pickup to get. Lol. I'm deciding between an F150 Platinum, Tremor or Raptor. I'd probably modify, level maybe a bit of an offset with the Platinum or Tremor, and not sure yet if I'd get the 35 or 37 Raptor, leaning towards the 35 except I'd love that extra road clearance of the 37. I don't go off roading all that much, other than destination stuff, mostly dirt roads, a campsite or trailhead or cabin, but living in mountainy ski country with big snow storms that extra road clearance can come in handy. I'm looking for a smooth driving, luxurious, go anywhere, anytime, any kind of weather vehicle with that flat fold out work surface in the front center console that is optional with all F150's. Take my home office mobile, I'd use that a lot.

Hello, my cab side has a bit of resistance when locking compared to the tailgate side. Do you have the same resistance? Meaning it is not a completely passive closure. I actually see the cab panel shifting down a bit. This has resulted in a small impression on the rubber that coats the locking rod. I wonder if you have the same. Thanks

There's another video somewhere on YT where the guy states that because it's such a tight seal, some tailgates won't release on their own. You would have to manually open the tailgate.

If you wanted to remove the panel near the tailgate to transport a tall item, could you ride with the cover like that? Just the middle panel and panel near the cab?

Thanks for the question, no not of late. But earlier I did.have a problem that was user error. I mounted the cover to close to my rear window that it was rubbing against it. Once I saw the problem I was able to fix it. Plus I really don’t drive it those speeds in my truck.

Liked and subscribed! One more question if you will…thinking of the HD version, but might forego all the cleats as it seems overkill and maybe install 2 on each side like the SE version . What’s your opinion on all the cleats since you have had a chance to use the cover?

@@crich8560 I would recommend to get the Cleats. Having to many Tiedowns is not a bad thing. Just started using mine and I’m glad I had it installed. Just my opinion
