Installing a Hose Reel to a Post | Giraffe Tools Hose Reel

Күн бұрынInstalling a hose reel to a post is something I never thought I would ever do, but here I am tackling just that task. The team over at Giraffe Tools sent me this 100ft hose reel assembly and I took to the task of getting it up and running. After considering my options, I decided to put a 4x4 post in the ground and install the assembly to the post, instead of installing this directly onto the house. That is so true Ron. I've used it a few times now and I do think I may end up putting the assembly a little lower on the pole in order to balance the load a little better. Thx for stopping by :)

Digging in rocky soil is so very frustrating and extremely hard work. I can't dig two inches without hitting a rock in my yard so I'm truly sympathetic. Congratulations on sticking with the installation. Great job!

The hardest part was digging the hole 😂😂😂 I needed to go down another couple of inches but the whole structure is still standing strong 💪🏽. You will do great!

I used it through October and I'm pretty pleased. I still have yet to cut off that little extra at the top of the post LOL. I don't have the tools for that.

I’m sure you have your reasons for choosing to mount it that side of the post but did you consider mounting it on the side of the post that’s facing away from the house 🏠? Also are you planning on cutting the post to the length of the vinyl post sleeve so that post itself (wood) isn’t showing? Good job and keep up the good work!!😉

Hey there. Yeah, I did consider the front side of the post, but didn't want it sticking out that way. By putting in on the side, it's almost as if you can swing it out of site. I wish I could cut the post lol. I don't have the tools for it, but maybe I'll have a buddy come do it for me. I also think I should move the assembly down the post a bit more. Great eye and great suggestions. Thank you.

Thank you. It’s holding up ok but the retraction isn’t as good. Look into Hoselink and compare. 👍🏽
