Found a great intake j-pipe delete kit online with a guard (heatshield?) and thought it was a great fit.
I placed my order from the link below and it arrived pretty quickly.
Everything needed was included in the kit.

Do I recommend this kit?
YES!
Is there room for improvements?
YES. (instructions in English would help.)
Is the price point acceptable?
Yes.
Am I happy with my purchase?
Yes.
Was installation simple?
Yes, for the most part.
What would really improve this kit?
Adding a BOV option/recommendation.
What's my favorite part of the kit?
The STU STU STU!!!
Could just be me, but I swear the throttle response improved!
Since the video was so long everything is sped up, you can slow down the video using KZfaqs option. Next time I will split this into multiple videos maybe.
I have resolved to using only KZfaq music as I got tired of copyright bs.
This video is the longest I believe I've done and because I'm not equipped with the proper gear I was unable to render the video audio as it kept freezing my phones. So I put subtitles, besides who wants to hear my voice anyway. This is 7'ish hours of video, 3 days of recording down to 27 minutes.
I did the best I could, if you don't like it, keep yo ass scrolling then.

Did you have any issue with the MAF sensor not being flush with the intake? I’m trying to figure out how to get tight to it but nothing seems to work

No I don't believe I did. Is it the shield that's in the way?

@@TheSocialPraxis sorry, I meant the filter to the MAF sensor. It seems like the radius of the filter is slightly too small to sit properly but I know it’s the proper size.. The shield is also in the way of putting the MAF sensor back on the intake. Bought the car with this kit on it, took it off for some maintenance, and now struggling to put it back on

So I’m debating weather or not I should get a j-pipe delete kit but like the more videos I watch the more it just sounds the same with a j-pipe on yeah you get rid of the over engineered piping but it’s like you have to worry about other stuff like getting a BOV and plumbing vacuum hoses. Like I just bought a beefy turbo and still going to bottom mount setup and I might just leave the stock j pipe on. I guess it’s kind of personal preference with a j pipe delete.

Thanks for the video man at least someone showed how to properly do the kit, just kinda wish you talked us through lol it felt like I’m watching a Japanese anime with subtitles, definitely hard to pay attention too 😅

@Seshw1lly 😅😂😂. Sorry man. I've just been thinking nobody watches my shit anyway, so I might as well just do it and put subtitles along the way. I don't get much feedback from people either, so I just wing it. I personally think the J pipe delete is better. More because I like the stu stu stu from the turbo surge, and I'm going to replace it with a top mount setup. I have everything I need minus a downpipe. Still haven't figured out how I'm going to do that because most businesses won't fabricate a downpipe without a catalytic converter. But I'll figure something out. Thanks for the feedback tho 👍🏽🙏🏼🤙🏽.

@@TheSocialPraxis yeah man I love watching video of people working on the same platform and I try to retain as much info as possible to see what things to avoid / do. So basically a J pipe would work for you since you’re going top mount and you need to remove all the BS regardless, yeah I’m keeping the bottom mount cause I like to keep the low key look.

@@TheSocialPraxis also trying to find a BOV pipe after you do the j pipe delete is ridiculous I’ve been up all night trying to see what I can find but I’ve come to the conclusion that it has to custom made, as well at the down pipe like you said. Honestly I can’t find any turbo elbow other than future fab or odyssey fab and they charge a ridiculous amount. So I also have to get that custom made as well which sucks.

@Seshw1lly yeah, I definitely feel your pain. There is nothing that I found with a BOV on either side of the charge pipes either. Absolutely zero manufacturers out there. You'll have to have someone weld a flange onto one of the charge pipes. I like the low key look too but just like it more in your face lol. Seriously need some state side manufacturers to make some kits. I mean, the market for these cars has exploded. There's money to be made.

J pipe delete is Non BOV and Non vacuum line ? safe engine ? plz brother reply me Thank

Hello 👋🏼. J pipe delete is removing the huge pipe on top. When you do that, it removes the BOV and you cap the vaccum line coming from the BOV to the boost sensor. However you can have a BOV flange welded onto the cold side charge pipe or the turbo. For me, I capped the vaccum line and I'm not running a BOV. I don't care if the turbo gets damaged by not running a BOV because it's the stock turbo. I have another turbo waiting for me to throw it own but I am missing a wastegate for that specific turbo manifold. Just don't have money for it right now.

@saxshwemoe4282 are you asking me if you don't run a BOV and vaccum line, is the engine and turbo safe? The answer to that is no. If you don't run a BOV, you run the risk of the turbo giving up and getting severely wearing down. The rush of it damaging your engine is minimal but it can happen. Which vaccum line are you talking about exactly? The one from the stock BOV? If so, same applies. The turbo will wear down and eventually fail without a BOV. But you can buy a turbo for what, $300+? Keep in mind, the people in Japan run most of their cars without a BOV. And I'm running mind without a BOV.

@@TheSocialPraxis I will also use original stock turbo without BOV. Is that safe for engine. Can leaking will happen for turbo?Can turbo will lag without BOV? Plz tech me Big brother

@saxshwemoe4282 if the turbo blows up from not running a BOV it can potentially harm the engine. I'm not 100% sure on that. It can have minimal lag I suppose but mine didn't lag after I took it off.

日本のエンジンがすべて最高だとは思いません。しかし、これはおそらくこれまでに作られた中で最高のエンジンだと思います。残念なことに、アメリカはまったく新しいものを楽しむことができませんでした。当時アメリカがそれを持っていたら、もっと多くの部品とサポートがあったでしょう。しかし、これは私のこれまでで一番好きなエンジンであり、本当に愛しています。
