@@WilliamsonRidge So I measured up the clevis the ball end of the hydraulic top link hooks up to. I'm a little narrow as well, under 2". I'm needing the same top link on my Kubota MX5400 from Agristoreusa. Any issues with grinding it down because the ball ends seem to be all 2" in width?

I haven’t had any issue at all I just took the same off both sides in order to keep it centered up.

Hydraulic top links are the first mod a guy should make. Manufacturers should start offering them standard. They make everything easier.

Iv'e seen a remote somewhere that turns a single remote into 3 remotes by using solenoids. You cycle through with a switch and pick the one you need to operate with your stock lever.My TYM 574 came with two remotes, guess that's a good thing even though I've not used one of them yet.

Thanks! how many inches of adjustment is your top link? is the check valve working properly when you disconnect the hoses?
@WilliamsonRidge
@WilliamsonRidge 2 жыл бұрын
It has right at 11 inches of adjustment, the check valve works perfectly, when you disconnect it stays exactly where you left it

Been using mine for a few months now and I’m loving it, just need to add a second rear remote now, may add one of those that has 3 or 4 just in case I need it for later

Hi, yeah the Kat1/Kat2 mixing is done by some manufacturers. I think that way, they can fit more adjustments (3 holes) at the top link. I'm also getting a hydraulic one soon for my M6060, I will also use the bushing so I can switch with other tractors and a mixed Kat1/2 is a lot harder to find. Is there a reason why you didn't go for the "claw" type? They are common here in Europe and seem quite useful. I guess you know that you are pushing high pressure through the safety release when you lower the mower with 1 hose on the 2-way valve. You shouldn't use it a lot, but I guess it is fine when you only do it during adjustments. My mower needs floating adjustment, so driving with the stick pushed a lot will be BAD! Just found out that my method was similarly bad: One of my valves can be switched to single action. Then you don't hear any "load noise" when you lower the implement, because the system does not run into high pressure this way. HOWEVER, you still should not hold the lever in this positions for extended time, because apparently the oil does not circulate correctly through the transmission and can overheat when the valve is not in neutral. I have been doing this extensively for 4 years, so I hope the boiling oil did not do a lot of damage already... I guess I'll know if the transmission/pump fail prematurely... I'll finally upgrade a valve with float action, pushed this investment because I thought it's not essential and I can get by with the 1/2 way toggle valve. I would recommend for you also to get this type with the float setting if yours doesn't have it. I fell like an idiot because it explicitly warns in the manual (which I actually read), but as far as I remember my dealer actually recommended doing so as a workaround... Sorry for the wall of text, but maybe it helps you! :)

Thanks for the info I will check into all that, I don’t use the lever constant, only to make quick adjustments so I think it will be okay for my use, I didn’t get the claw hookup just because mine had a standard ball style to begin with so I just replaced it with the same.

If Kubota puts a Cat 1 top pin for Cat 2 accessories it's not good. That is now your weak link. I would complain to Kubota about that.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you it’s been a while since I made this video. I had to do some research to try to find the one I bought, I believe it was this one, www.agristoreusa.com/products/category-2-hydraulic-top-link-21-5-8-32-11-16

Thanks for getting back to me. I have a Kubota 7060 and my measurements on the top link are 19 1/2 to 28 3/4. I def could sacrifice some on the short end but just curious as to why you chose your measurements. Thank you.

@@WilliamsonRidge also did you go with the 2 ft or 3 ft lines?
@WilliamsonRidge
@WilliamsonRidge 7 ай бұрын
@cmcc1971 I needed a longer link for my king kutter rear blade, so I got one that was long enough for it, I never have to shorten the link all the way so having it a little longer at its shortest point works fine

I think they were the 3 ft lines cause I run them in a u shape and I wanted plenty of room
