After hours of trying to get this to program to run because of various errors, this video showed me how to do it in under 6 minutes. This should be the first thing that pops up when someone googles how to install cassandra on mac.

@@ProgrammingwithDrHayes I am trying to kill it with ctrl+c I could not. also when I typed cqlsh showed me " Connection error: ('Unable to connect to any servers', {'127.0.0.1': error(61, "Tried connecting to [('127.0.0.1', 9042)]. Last error: Connection refused")})" what should I do?

3:43 instead "brew cask install adoptopenjdk8" use "brew install --cask adoptopenjdk8" "

brew install --cask is correct command

I started cassandra and had this error "OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: Cannot open file /usr/local/Cellar/cassandra/3.11.9_1/libexec/logs/gc.log due to No such file or directory" , i already searched gg, fixed it, but it did'nt run, can you help me,plzzzz

after executing the command 'cassandra -f', it throws the error - CassandraDaemon.java:911 - The native library could not be initialized properly. Kindly help
