Check out how hard it is to snap that Circlip in there.

Man, I feel your pain and frustration. I just got myself an HKS SSQV for my Focus ST and installing that snap ring on the flange was a CHORE. Glad you finally got it in there.

does your car have to be boosted/turbo to have a BOV ? or can i just have air intake with bov only ?

The it intake only won't have enough pressure to open the bob and make the noise with the air scaping. You can put in there for look but I doubt it will make the noise

@@CarModsGarage Could you please explain the T fitting portion of the hose? So the BOV hose connect to the middle of the T but what is being connect to the other 2 ends ? and where are they going? thanks a bunch

@@perziano6134 there is a vaccum hose that was going from the intake of the car to the computer (my case was an AEM FIC on this video). I cut that hose, added the T and the port left of that T went to the BOV. The hose from the intake always goes somewhere. That's why it comes with the T. I hope that helps

Is it for turbo engine only? Or normal engine also?

usually yes only for turbo. It let's the air out when the throttle body closes but the manifold still have pressure.

Is the car running as this is done? Is that necessary?

Yes car is running well and yes you need the BOV so when the throttle body closes you don't have that pressure returning to the turbo.

well the correct affirmation would be "This is not an Aston Martin" lol. Ya bud sorry for disappoint you but this is a 420a. It ended up pretty cool though

Don't know if you know that bov is a knockoff, the real ones come with a stainless steel snap ring, the black one is a give away. Also real ones don't come with the little base adapter. It's really sad to see how close the counterfeit parts have come in looks.

Yh I bought a fake and the c clip flies off the car under boost. Apparently I have to buy a real c clip and it will hold?

@@seemaab No you don't, I had a fake one for years work. They just are tricky to get down and seal properly. Make sure to do a boost leak test afterwards to confirm

They suck to be squeezed and to go down all the way. Be sure when it's in that you can take it out unless you squeeze that.

@@CarModsGarage it’s all over the forums that the original c clip fixes the issue. The fake ones use a black c clip. Trust me we pressed it and it appeared locked and unable to move until boost hits.
