oh i just made that in bambu slicer honestly , i just needed it to be able to print in 8 colors :)

@@aim6mac yeah but as far as i know, you cant just import an picture into bambu slicer and have the colors, no? so you had to prepare it in some way.

@@10Rey01 well u just load the model first, then u choose the paint tool, and then choose the 'circle' option and then choose the color you want to paint in and then just paint as you like really, u don't need to do pre preparation before all this.

Hello there, when u open your ams system, take out the two filament rolls in the middle, now u should be able to see a long oval button like latch that u can press in and pull the PTFE tubing out.

you DON'T tear apart the AMS system BUT u have to take the pfte tubing out of there and grip the filament with something manually and retract it. But stay tuned i have a quick fix for it, will be posted pretty soon.

The AMS comes with everything you need to connect it to a printer: the buffer that he removed from the back of his printer, cable, tubing, and 4 empty spools. The AMS hub is necessary to connect more than 1 AMS to a single printer and is sold separately.

@@radish6691 You do not really need the Hub to connect the 4 AMS units max. to the X1 or P1 series printers, all you need is a 2,3 or 4 way filament feed tube "splitter /combiner " prior to the buffer unit because that's all what the hub is: a 4 in one feed tube "splitter / combiner with a buffer behind it just that it is in one unit for convenience.

@@milanswoboda5457 Have you tried doing what you suggested? If you have and it worked, then I'm assuming you daisy chain connected the AMS units with the 6pin cables, and used a splitter before the buffer? I'm surprised that works as well as the Hub, and also, the Hub is not expensive, and eliminates the need for the pre-buffer splitter too, so not sure why you wouldn't go ahead and connect it as Bambu suggests. Although the Bambu printers are much less needful of tinkering, I guess those of us that have been printing for awhile can't quit :)!

@@nombable Hi Nate, the only issue i had was that the QR code being absent on these PEO and PET build plates, but there is an option to turn the QR code reading in the options menu in bambu handy.

This is indeed for a specific audience , not everyone would need a second AMS system. A 3d print service could make good use of it for some 3d print orders

The AMS hasn’t been any trouble at all for me so double the trouble is still no trouble at all! 🤣

@@Aldoor what problems do you have with your AMS? Have you used multi-color printers from other companies because the alternatives out there are straight up terrible compared to the AMS

I've had zero trouble with my single AMS and just added a second and so far it's going just fine. I admit I've only been printing with 2 AMSs for a month, but I've produced 5 models with 5-6 colors with no issues at all. I *have* had filament break inside the AMS, but clearing it is relatively easy and I'm finding that broken filament is just because my filament is old (2+ years old) and moisture laden.. but leaving it in the AMS itself helps dry it quite a bit as well.
