Hello from Detroit Sophie. Just FYI, a lot of us with trucks are not having good luck with powder coating. Once they get a chip in them, the coating just peels off. Truck bed liner from a can or spray is the latest trend here.

Can confirm, powder coat lasts until the first chip in it. (We live on the coast though so corrosion is a real issue!)

I got some from bearmach that arrived damaged They sent a new set and told me to keep the damaged Great customer service

The new steps look great (in North America they're sometimes called nerf bars, for some reason). A very good installation video and a nice trip. The Defender looks great! Most of my understanding and experience of Yorkshire comes from James Herriot books and it is nice to see such a lovely landscape. Great job!

That snow reminded me of the A57 when my dad took me there when I was 9. Mind you the road was blocked off due to snow & ice but dad drove it in an Escort MkII. Great job there Sophie on the installation. Side steps make it easy to get in & out of 4x4's, especially for those who have mobility problems. You're making me hungry for a bacon sanger now!

Amazing timing, I was just looking at these last night for my 90! Although I don't know why since I'm a long way off fitting these sorts of accessories yet, but it's nice to get some motivation to keep going on it. Very good shots of the brackets etc, as this was not clear on the website I was looking at, so this video has certainly swung it in favour of these ones.

Sophie you are a star... Your 110 looks amazing.....Little tip, for snow or mud I always keep some old stair carpet in the back of my P38.... I don`t get stuck but when it snows I go out to help people that do... Cos In Halifax if you are not going up hill then you are going down!!!!! :-)))) xx

The steps look great, I had to cut all four mine off, the bolts were knackered and some bright spark decided to tack weld the bit on the chassis 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nice add on,unfortunately my land rover county is built for the high country over here in Australia and those steps would get destroyed over here. Rock sliders is more appropriate for some of the rocky terrain we do. Hopefully the clerk of works got some of that bacon for supervising.

dont know if any ones told you sophie but dont use battery impact wrenches with ratchets or ratchet spanners it shakes them to bits i told him not to do it but he thought he new best and 30 mm ratchet spanners arnt cheap grrr looks a very nice job and a good fit on the 110 mines one sugar lol

You need a small impact wrench/driver or use your Dewalt one and buy some swivel sockets, they are pretty cheap these days. I think US pro does a set for cheap. Or just by an electric ratchet of Ebay for like £30-40.

Sorry to say I don't like those side steps at all, I have never liked fixed side steps. The old fold up's are ok, as when folded up they aren't too noticeable. I think side steps are hideous looking at the best of times lol, but understand they can be useful to help shorter people get in. I know it's a bit of a negative comment, but you did want to know peoples opinion. And I believe honesty is best policy.
