This has been a long video in the making. This was a very interesting install and so far I'm overall happy with the fuel system. Nothing is particularly hard to do, but there are a lot of components which creates complexity.
My car is a 2016 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack. The parts that I ordered from Fore Innovations via Hypermotive include:
2011-2016 Mustang GT L2 Fuel System (Dual Pump)
Fore Innovations Coyote Fuel Rails
Fore Innovations Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fore Innovations FC2 Controller With 6 Gauge Wiring
2x TI Auto F90000267 Fuel Pumps
Startlite -8 Feed / Return Fuel Lines
Cellulose Filtration Media
0-100psi Fuel Pressure Gauge
The install overall could be done in a weekend if you have all the stuff you need. However I found that to do a proper job I needed lots of little tools. Here are all the things I bought on Amazon and I'd recommend you get too. Clicking the links below helps me out as they're my Amazon affiliate links and I get a portion of the sales at no added cost to you:
goo.gl/3R5qXg - IWISS Wire Terminal Crimper
goo.gl/gt5sMY - IWISS HSC8 Self Adjustible Crimping Tool
goo.gl/tXKpH8 - GOCHANGE Quadrilateral Ferrule Crimper
goo.gl/8uMkme - Klein Tools 63055 Compact Cable Cutter
goo.gl/9YPaVW - IRWIN 2078300 Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper
goo.gl/XgAjpa - Baomain 6 AWG Ferrules
The only thing I would do differently is pick PTFE hose over the Startlite hose. The Startlite hose smells of fuel because it's slightly permeable. It's not too bad once the fuel pressure goes down, but you can still smell it a little. I'll work out some PTFE hoses in the future.
If you haven't subscribed yet I suggest you do, because we're going to be doing several other cool projects! See the end of the video for a teaser.
