Is there a timer on this for how long you want it to be on. Or a timer on how often it should turn on?

hey there is small box with ON AND OFF, when i bought it today it come by default on the left side and since i have Steam I should put it on ON which seems to be on the right side, i tired both ways and 2 wires up and down and it does not work, i am lost

You didn't even mention the heat anticipator setting. Do these thermostats not have one?

Found this on Mr Google: The design of the CT87K is the same as traditional round thermostats, but the CT87K does not use a mercury switch. This eliminates the need of an anticipator that would require adjustment. The CT87K is one of the simplest thermostats on the market.

@@joemitchell318 Furnace should come on with R & W wires hooked together without the thermostat, if it does but doesn't when hooked to the thermostat then it's either wired wrong to the thermostat or the thermostat is at fault.
