I may have to do this to my 66 HD3 in the near future. Do you just take the bolts out of the front of the pulley and pop the injector pump off of these or do I have to put the engine in time and take the cover off the front? I have the manuals but the manuals are not being helpful in much of anything.

The injector pump on my 1980 Allis-Chalmers 5050 diesel seems to be making a whining noise from time to time. However, I’m not 100% sure that is where the noise is coming from. 1) how do you suggest trouble shooting whether it’s the injector pump making the whining noise and/or if the pump is going bad? 2) At what point do I want to stop using the tractor and have the injector pump repaired if it is the pump? Thank you for your help.

Where in Indiana you located i live in pendleton. I worked on a Dairy farm for years that had AC tractors a 7000 a 200 a D19 aD17 all good tractors . I also have a WD and a wc

Hey I have a allis chalmers 190xt and i need to change the injection pump but wanted to do it right wonder if you had any tips on that

Make sure to time the pump before you take it off. If you do not then installing the pump after it has been gone through it will run like crap. How you time the pump is you take the side cover off and line the marks up by spinning the motor over. Once lined up take it all apart. Will take a minute to get all the air out of the injector lines once reinstalled!
