I think this would be a good tutorial for everyone if you could just make it a bit slower and clearer. I know many people would be very grateful for this video because i myself battled for 2 days to install kivy. In the end i installed kivy with only 3 commands. sudo apt-get install python-dev --fix-missing sudo pip install cython sudo pip install kivy

i don't recommend you working with the pip installation. Much less to degub. Preferable to work with the local installation. You may have problems with a touch screen if that is the case. For this, you will need to work on the kivy config files.

I have sorted the config files. mouse = mouse etc and am having absolutely no problems yet. The only problem i have which i will sort out hopefully, is i can't close the script when running the script from python. If i use LXterminal to run scripts it closes with the ctrl c command.

Can you please help me. I keep on getting importerror . I have followed each and every step except the touchscreen part n I just don't understand what's wrong. The funny thing is that i get the importerror of kivy not found on every other ide but not on python idle 3. But on python idle 3 I get importerror for any other imports like app widget etc. Please help!

Hi, I have not done anything like this in years. Though your error might be a python environment error. Maybe it would be easier to edit the files using just vim?
