Very interesting. Lead acid likes to be fully charged all the time which I believe is how the ups keeps them charged. The bms should cut off the lifepo4 once full but is it good to keep lifepo4 full all the time like lead acid? Thanks for sharing. An update video in a few months would be appreciated to see capacity of lifepo4. Thanks

I guess time will tell on keeping a fully charged lifepo4 battery. I will update after a few months with a load test.

It's been working fine since the video was created with a few power losses.

Does the UPS fully charge the LiFePO4 batteries?

Not a good idea! Conditions are too different for charge and use of SLA and LiFeP04.

Agreed up to a point. I think as the market matures more of these drop in lifepo4 replacements will be suitable as SLA replacements.

@@Andrewsnotes1 If UPS manufacturers built their internal chargers to use the LiFeP04 BMS voltages instead of using those of SLA, that would be a great and popular use for them. Lots of people dislike SLA batteries and want to use LiFeP04, but the UPS makers are lagging.
