I'm so glad that you have a sponsor. It makes things a bit easier, I'm sure. It's so cool how Besche looks in your new shop! I can't wait to see you using it! ☺️ You've worked so hard. I see that and want to acknowledge it. Hard-working Tim.

I used to do what was called industrial grouting and we used an Apoxsee resin grout all the time and that stuff is extremely tough . It’s very similar to what you were using but just a bit different . I worked in the gas field for the natural gas companies , we would pour these pads for the compressor stations and these huge engines would sit down on top of the pads we poured .

Heck yeah my dude! Can't wait to see your shop up and running again! You are a huge inspiration to me and I aim to have a dedicated shop of my own some day, my garage is getting a little cramped.

That’s incredible how much mass is needed to support that power hammer😮 Thats a lot of volume of concrete (and epoxy). I didn’t realize how much force is going beneath that massive machine and into the ground. You must FEEL that hammer pounding the ground a block away! I learned something…thank you Tim👍🙂

Brother I'm happy to see a sponsor come in. You've been overdue for some sponsors. I hope the new height on the hammer works well. If not you could build a platform to put yourself at the right height relative to the dies.

Yeah! SquareSpace! Thank you for sponsoring Tim! He really deserves it and I hope this deal can work out many more times for your advertising! I have 0 problems watching a sponsored segment to help Tim out and if I was a small business or hobbyist crafter I would totally use you for a website. Tim! So happy for you getting that power hammer in there!! I hope that epoxy holds up. I've never heard of it used for a power hammer base but I don't know much about the details of heavy equipment but I'm sure the right kind can be just as strong as concrete. Looks nice too. Ready to see all the tools and other machines be brought in! I hope they weren't too damaged with the move and the rain. But you always have a knack for getting things running anyway 😄 part of being a blacksmith I guess. Let's get this Boi runnin!!

Just little bit of nit-picking: epoxy doesn't dry, instead it hardens. There is no solvent to evaporate (that would be drying), instead the two components you mix cause a chemical reaction to take place (hardening). This will happen regardless of exposure to air or not. Mixed epoxy in a sealed jar will still harden. Paint in a sealed jar will not dry. (Well, unless you go with 2-component epoxy paint obviously!)

Last time I checked a website has to be online, if it isn't it is just a program. So there is no reason to call it an online website as you called it.

I don't' think epoxy was the right move. You basically just built a "bushing' in between your anvil and the concrete block. The epoxy will have a give and a bounce to it. I think you would have been better off with self leveling concrete. Now you're not even getting the benefit of the large concrete block, because you have your anvil on something that can give, like a spring; so it actually isolates your anvil rather than mounting it solidly to the main concrete footing. It's just not maximized like it could be. Cheers.
