in this video I try to fix the seat heating in my BMW E61 525d, by installing a new seat altogehter. That was alot more work than anticipated.

This is my 2008 model BMW E61 525d with a strong 3 liter M57 straight six diesel engine and a manual transmission.

Things never go according to plan...I can blame myself for not buying the correct seat to begin with, but yeah.. Hope you enjoy the video anyways ;) Smash the like button and like the video for more!

if you have a bit of patience you can take the seats apart and swap the bottoms cushions with heating only, so everything else stays the same with your old seat

i did this on my e61 lci, that comfort seat is from pre lci. if you want to keep that seat, connect the wires from the extra connector to the same colour wires on the big connector in the seat.

I have to say! That e36 color looks great, I wanted to repaint my car in Estoril Blue, but that wrap looks rlly good

On the plastic trim bits that cover the front bolts for the seats have a little tab you need to lift so they just slide out no tools required.

Restraint system faulty is error for seat belt locker, on your seat.. i had that problem on my e60 its not big problem, you have on youtube videos about that and you can baypass that problem :D

yea that's for the seat airbag if u wana get rid of it jus stick a airbag resistor on the plug should be sound

I know people makes lci retrofits , but now i have seen a downgrade from lci comfort seat to pre-lci comfort seat .

connect it to diagnostic, clear faults and errors, maybe you get lucky and airbag light will dissapear

Airbag light = Airbags deactivated and will not deploy in an accident

wrong i did have a audi a4 b5 with airbag light and when i did hit a moose the airbag did deploy
