This weekend, I installed the OEM LED bed lights in the truck. I did a rubbing of the factory installation holes in a newer model RAM at work. I then used that hole template as my guide to drill out the holes. Once the holes were done, then I easily fastened the lights into place and proceeded to zip-tie the wire loom along the bedframe up the driver's side. When I got to the installation part where the wire pin is poked through the gasket/grommet in the engine and pushed into the cab, my easy installation plans got derailed. The wire pin did not work with the accessories computer panel(?) under the dash. I ended up having to cut, solder and heat shrink the wire and tie it into the 3rd brake light cargo lighting. If I would have known the wire pin wasn't going to work, I would have saved myself a few steps and not even have removed the panel to access under the dash.
