👁 About this video : In today's video we install some new lights for my high clearance bumper! These are the Baja design series lights and are universal depending on where you need to mount them! Pretty simple installation minus having to extend the wires which really wasn't too bad. The actually light install is easy with the hardware provided and fit perfectly within the bumper! Running through the firewall just takes some patience to slide it through the grommet and picking a spot for the switch is really up to you. I am waiting for a switch panel to come in so I can have all mine on one to clean it up with the three lights that I have! Hope you enjoyed this install and let me know how I should leave the rear lights!!

Those 4 screws would actually still show, they hold the light housing on!

It most def. looks better with the extra plate on, more finished. The idea of doing a camping trip would be awesome to watch. You can do a vid on the camping itself. 👍

I would recommend a S-Pod . I use one to connect all my switches and lights to one source unit. Saves hooking wires to battery terminals simply hook it up to spod bay. great video

Just ordered my this week and I say just use one plate! It looks cleaner verse the double plated one!

The lights look great! Weather pack crimpers can make that job a bit easier but pliers like you had work as well!

I think it was a 10 or 12 gauge wire. It just needs to be about the same diameter as the wire I tapped into!

Mods on your own personal cars are awesome as well as car reviews you all do. Brian, I love the flannel and style shirt you wore in this vid 👌. as a new to me tacoma owner, i would prefer you do more mods on tacoma. Its the only vehicle i can fit into, i cant get down into cars. i tried and took about 2 people to get me out of it.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed - Yup, exactly. From the Baja Designs website - Light Patterns: Driving/Combo: Maximum trail coverage in a single light. The Driving/Combo pattern is equipped with both Driving (42°) and spot (9°) optics to provide you with a smooth blend of light for both near field applications and distance (Lighting Zone 3) Wide Cornering: BD was the first to develop a pattern specifically for cornering, dust and/or fog conditions. The Wide Driving pattern offers a 42° flattened horizontal beam for the ultimate in comfort lighting. (Lighting Zones 1 & 2) Spot: A longer and narrower 9° beam focus for illumination further down the trail or road. The Spot pattern is designed to be used in conjunction with additional Wide Driving and/or Driving/Combo beam lights. (Lighting Zone 4 & 5) Flood: Excellent work light or “scene light” with an extremely smooth 60° circle that projects about 40ft. This pattern is not suitable for driving. (Lighting Zone 7)

Did it have any effect when you use your backup camera, such as too much glare? I like cover off. Missing the black painted bolts . . .

Nope. I don't have to turn them on in reverse. They just light up the ground more, so if its dark and I want them on while in reverse. Lights up the view a ton
