I like the look of them a lot as well! Performance is good on them, I think that they are brighter than the stock headlights, but I wanted even brighter so I swap out the bulbs and upgraded to led bulbs. I have a video over that as well, as long as a proper review video with the headlights. If I could do it again I would have gotten the novas, I say that because they come with led bulbs and there is 4 bulbs on each headlight instead of 2. They’re more expensive but it’s worth it.

Yes that is the fuse I tapped into. I haven’t had any issues with it, everything works fine with it on that fuse. You shouldn’t need to change out the fuse for a new one. I pulled the old one out and stuck the wire in and put the old fuse back down, you shouldn’t need to change it out at all.

Great that’s the one I will use. I’m going to use a fuse tap instead of sticking the wire under the fuse just to be safe. Thanks a lot man

@@blomeoutdoors2134 which fuse number ? Alpharex instructions says to connect to fuse #36, it that where you plug in yours? Im just wondering is it safe? Thanks!

@@vidojevicg Yes that is where I plugged mine into. It is to keep the daytime running lights on anytime the vehicle is on. Yes it is safe to do, the only down side I have found from it is that there is a slight static noise in the radio when the connection isn't the best. I haven't had radio problems in town, but outside of town there is occasionally static in radio. But if you're connected to music on your phone with bluetooth then there isn't an issue.

They’re holding up good, no issues with them. I’ve got a couple other more recent videos posted over them - but if you watch those you’ll see changed out the bulbs on them and they’re super bright.

I believe so, the only thing I could think that would be different is that the ones I have are the sequential headlights and the base headlights wouldn’t be.

Chad Sunderlin No I didn’t have to, it was all just plug and play from the stock headlights to the new ones, along with a wire from the fuse box to the headlights. That wire is optional though. If you want the DRL bar to be on whenever the truck is on then hook up the fuse. If you don’t want that, but only want them to be on when your running lights or low beams are on, then don’t hook up that wire to the fuse box.

I’m not sure what the issue is. I occasionally have that issue as well but only when it’s super cold outside, and it happens on my drivers side. When the temp is normal or higher out then I don’t have an issue, only when cold. But I have no idea what the issue is. Could be a wire isn’t in all or something? Not sure.

Providing your wiring is correct, I'd be contacting alpharex about a replacement. There's absolutely no reason you should be having any issues with a headlight that's that new, regardless of temperature or other operating conditions.

@@Sagittarius-88 gave them a call and they told me that the issue would be the grill light They’ve advised to tap into the low beam, parking light or the turn signal with the grill light I’m not a technician and the last thing i want is to tap into my fuse box and later have my engine light blinking

@@UsGangFromFj So it's a wiring issue, then. The way I understand it, you're supposed to tap into the fuse box for the drl's which is easy, the rest is plug and play. I don't know why they're telling you to tap into a headlight circuit. This is all basic electrical wiring. If you're having issues due to faulty wiring, I'd have a qualified tech look at it.

The base model is called the pro series, it has one low beam and one high beam bulb on each housing. The upgraded model is called the nova series and it has two led low beams and two led high beams on each headlight housing.

@@bryanesparza99 The base model doesn't have sequential turn signals, nor does it have that stupid "knight rider" start up sequence. The upgraded models come with sequential turn signals as well as the start up "light show". I'd personally go with the base model. I honestly don't care about the sequential turn signals, but that start up sequence on the upgraded models makes these headlights look like a wal-mart special. @@bryanesparza99 Keep in mind that while these are a projector style housing, the alpharex pro series, whether base or upgrade model, come with halogen bulbs. As I previously mentioned, the difference being the sequential turn signals and start up sequence in the upgrade model. You can swap out the halogen bulbs for LED's, but be aware that the alpharex pro series uses H7 bulbs for the high and low beams. This is different than what the factory uses, so if you plan on swapping out the halogens for LED's, you need an H7 LED as opposed to what's installed in your factory housing. Alpharex does offer the nova series, which come with LED's already built in, but they are significantly more expensive, and have the sequential turn signals and start up sequence built in. I have a 2020 F150, and my plan is to get the pro series base model, and swap out the halogens for a quality LED. From a financial and performance standpoint, I think it's the best bang for the buck.

I don't think so. I believe only H7 bulbs work in them.

You can code that into your truck with forscan. If you wanted to run drl without low beams on. I did it on my truck. It looks WAY better and meaner if that’s the style you’re going for.

I have heard the same thing before from other people, thankfully enough I never had an issue with anything and never had to contact them with any issues.

The pro series is around $600 for the set and the nova series is $1250 for the set.

The Zec I haven’t had any issues with it. I haven’t heard of anyone else ever having issues with that before.

I have condensation issues with them. I found it a week after the installation.
