Had one in my old Jku they were good for what they are. If you go through deep water and they stopped working for a day or so. Eventually ir worked again. They ones i got were used/ new. Meaning all the motors hinges wiring was new in the box never touched. The body shop i got it from sold it on offerup because one of the steps were bent from an accident. Guess they just replaced the running boards and left the new parts in the box. I fixed and straightened the board painted them and they worked great for 4 years. Only changed on motor over the years. Ended up getting the rocksliders power steps. Thinner but they can take a beating

Thanks for uploading this installation video, Helped a lot with my installation. One of the main problems people are having is the electrical installation part - ( Passenger side kick panel has 3 Connectors, 1. A White Connector, 2. A Blue Connector, 3. A Black Connector ) - Power step Trigger wires = Violet cable - connects to Violet on White connector, Grey Cable = Connects to Violet/Grey on White connector, White Cable - Connects to Violet/White on Blue connector and the Yellow cable - Connects to Violet/yellow on Black connector.

@@rockstar4x4 No, I believe they changed in 2020, best te verify first before doing anything with the wiring!

I ended up installing the controller and door position module under the passenger seat. There’s a much more convenient grommet there, and the controller isn’t subject to engine bay heat. Had to redesign the harness quite a bit, but I’m much happier with the electronics staying cool and dry.

I noticed your jeep is not lifted and these are geared towards lifted vehicles. Does the step seem too low for your vehicle or is it in a good position for you? Considering these steps for a stock AT4 with a factory lift and wanted to be sure how far down these dropped. Thanks!

The Jeep is often used with client getting in & out and some had a hard time to the point of having to use a stool thus these were choosen since the drop more than say the Rock Slide steps:-)

can you measure how far the steps are from the ground and how far down from the door sill.It would be greatly appreciated thank you

With the step down, straight out from the highest point on the sill (its angled) to the top of the step is approx. 12" and from the ground to the step bottom is approx. 9.5". Hope this helps you:-)

Do these hold up to sliding over rocks ?

These aren't designed to be sliders and you would quickly tear them up. That said, these ARE: rockslideengineering.com/product-tag/jl-step-slider/

I don't have the schematic for the 2021 but if you look here www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/ I remember seeing mention of the differences in the newer models wiring. Also AMP "should" be able to help if you can get hold of them (the rep I spoke to was arrogant & they never responded to any emails!). UPDATE: Amp has released updated instructions on their site. There's an override switch I have yet to install that will control the steps when door are on or off. I'll be showing the install in an upcoming video.

Anything in particular you need help with? The main issue is that foot-well is cramped and very hard to get in a good position to see the BCM module.

I added a couple of links to the description that are the images shown at the end of the video that are hard to read - the schematic shows the colors and corresponding BCM locations - remember these are for a 2018, yours may differ.

Correct, it will corrode but not "rust" as with steel (bracketry and motor cases, bolts etc. are made of steel).

I bought a set of these and couldn’t do the wiring. The drawing and instructions from amp research sucks. Bought a set of rockslide engineering, much better build and easier to install

I don't disagree with you & I looked at both product, I went with the AMP ONLY because with clients getting in and out of the vehicle I could see a lawsuit happening with the Rockslide units being they're narrower.
