THE ABANDONED HYUNDAI GENESIS COUPE IS FINALLY WIDE BODY!! I Have been waiting so long for this, I am super excited to finally ut up the car and install the Krotov Widebody kit on the Genesis! It honestly looks great for a cheap kit, and we super easy to do! Next up... just have to make it all fit nice nice.

Robbie if I was to own this body kit I would plastic weld the 2 side skirt pieces together (from the inside) then put bondo over the outside to cover the gap this will make it strong so the bondo doesn’t crack and it would make the side skirts look 11/10 it is just an idea I’m sure you could figure something out as good if not better

Using fiberglass reinforced filler would help the case even more. Even better chance for it to not crack

Fibre glass is better then bondo in this application bondo will crack and flake off look at most people’s patch jobs within a year or 2

I’d panel bond them together an then fill with filler an hard mount everything to keep from cracking.

For the rear maybe do what you did on the drift Jenny and do a bumper cutout with a bash bar. Or maybe a bumper cutout showing a nice exhaust setup. Or even a huge diffuser

The gap. On the rocker. Panel bond it together and turn it into a 1 pice. If it don’t turn out perfectly. Or have some pin holes. Use glazing to fill the rest.

My gen is that blue color, it's called acqua minerale blue & it's one of the more rare colors for the gen as it only came on the bk1 & not as many are out there👍🏻 the N performance blue would look so good🔥

I really like this kit and for the price its hard to beat, it looks like it fits pretty damn well too. But i also really appreciate the time and effort you put into the videos and how much you try on your cars. There is alot of car content on KZfaq where people just dont try to actually build things the best just to get out videos or get attention or just to keep things going but its awesome that you will take the time to do things right and to your best ability no matter what and then on top of that explain as good as you can too and idk just really truly tr. It sounds dumb but its the truth and its noticable so good shit👍👍

Cut off the black bottom piece from the rear bumper and make a crazy aggressive diffuser for the rear. I think that would look insane!

I thought those Amazon special bolts on the eg rusted over lol ? Also not sure if this helps but I heard the trade secret for filling gaps when comes to body kits is silicone caulk believe it or not. I hear it fill in gaps better than the plastic trim😉

From the way the side skirt is made it really looks like they intended for the bottom curl of the stock piece to be trimmed off. Plus I feel like that would help pull the small gap by the rear wheel in

Even putting some seam sealer on the rivnuts before popping them in would have been better than just raw dogging it.

I’ve always preferred the way molded wide body kits look. Nothing wrong with what you got going right here, I just find them so much more aesthetic when they’re molded. No rivets, no bolts showing, just body conforming

Yes some early 2000's molded kits with fender flares actually looks dope. But you must have the fender flares otherwise they look so bad...

They make some pretty sweet looking aftermarket front bumpers for the bk1 genesis’s should maybe look into some aftermarket bumpers to make the rest of the car look as sharp as the widebody kit. Stoked to see this thing finished gonna be sweet!!

the widebody kit looks very good, to make the front and rear look better, there is a brand called ARK Performance they make very nice diffusers but its a bit to the expensive side though

You can get some aquatic foam for fish tanks to fill that gap in the rear for the sideskirt. Just shove it into the gap. Don't need to shave it or anything beforehand

What we did where i worket with rivnuta in plastic was to use washer on the underside so it was a bigger circle underneeth and they could pull out

If the gap in the side skirt isn't an issue structurally with the car, I honestly don't think it looks that bad, I actually kinda like it.

That gap can be filled like all Wide body work it's supposed to be one with the car so filled to the body and that way you can't tell where the body kit starts and the car ends

Ive always thought itd look 10 times cleaner if someone filled all the grooves and the joints etc and sanded the body kit in so it turns it into a factory looking wide body kit. Never seen it done but it would be sweet
