Go online and check out that restaurant.. we did the entire place ..' Artsy fartsy architect came out on the weekend and jumped on our manlift and rode around the building with a 2"chisel head Sharper ! Lol. We used 55000 sqft of amish barn wood too

This fire pit is one of a few covered pits that is on the list kzfaq.infoUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM of approved products for Disney Fort Wilderness. The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.

FYI...Make sure you put a fan in main room to help circulate the heat from stove...add a pan of water also to help keep moisture circulating.....Cheers from Maine.

The water is very essential for keeping the sensitive noses of the kids from drying out so bad that they're having frequent nose bleeds. Had a friend that didn't believe me about the water & her young daughter had so many numerous nose bleeds she alerted the school in case she did. After finding out nothing happened & got the same advice from the nurse, followed up by a NP from her dr's office she put the pan of water on & No more problems!!!!

Beautiful Firewall! So glad you all avoided serious danger or damage from the storm. This past April or 100ft hickory nut tree fell on our house at 3:15am. Thank God it missed our daughters head by 8 inches, and we all were unharmed, safe our nerves were shot for a while. And if course we had to rebuild the front half of our home. God Is Good!😊❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi guys, I’m a storm chaser and definitely know how fast the weather can change in an instant. When I saw the video of the winds I instantly thought of straight line winds and how deadly they can be. God was good and that birch missing the gate was a huge blessing. So glad no one in your family or surrounding area was injured. I told the kids on my school bus for 9 years, I can't buy your mom and dad another you. The damage to replaceable things is a thing to be thankful for. Your security system is a good one. Camera's and such can help, you are correct. In addition, 2 very well trained Dobermans make a great deterrent. I often hear "someone could just shoot the dogs", yes but they can only focus on one at a time and the other one will nail them. Also, you can recall a dog, it's impossible to recall a bullet.

I've seen night vision cameras of fairly large dogs easily taken out by mountain lions or packs of wolves. Seems like wide spiked collars may help since the marauding animals tend to go for the throat. Dobermans don't have much fur to keep them warm in snow or fluffy fur to provide some form of buffer between skin and teeth

Me and my family Live in Northern Utah and we gotten those winds as well. The UofU got gusts up to 120mph some local areas got gust up to 100mph. The City of Ogden some residents were without power for 3 days. Me and the family spent all day Wednesday chopping trees and disposing of branches. My chain saw got a good work out that day. Glad you guys sustained light damage. God was truely looking outfor you and your family!!!

Good Simple Living yes, cause I have trudged through snow in bitter cold to get water from a frost free pump. My frost line is 36 inches in Iowa. Make it deep. 😂🤣

I didn't realize you could put a hand pump on a well with a submerged pump, but there would be enough room in the casing for two pipes. Good idea!

Do me a favor, put the guard back on the table saw. I just lost a finger, part of my thumb and my wrist damaged from whip lash. I didn't even know it until I saw the blood. My left hand is useless now. Chains or wide straps over the pole barn and anchored would be a good investment especially now the weather is so unpredictable. Totally agree, just saw Jeremy using the table saw "pulling" a small piece while ripping. A definite safety issue. Never pull on the opposite side of the blade, if a kickback occurs it will pull you hands back into the blade! Great Catch Dermot!

My Niece's family of ten in Idaho, lost their wood barn in 70-80 winds also. No animals or humans were injured, Thank you God.

It’s amazing the damage wind can do. I’m so happy you didn’t get big damage. We had a Derecho here in Iowa August 10th with 120 mph winds. Scary business.

Yes this is the bad storm I mentioned... Heidi didnt have as much damage as you did. Yes they had down trees also. Did your power go out. They were without power 3 days. Glad you took care of the tree by your gate. Glad you got your water pump in and the fire wall up behind your stove. God bless

Praise God you are so well and safe inn your tiny home. I don’t know what time your news hit us here in Australia. I have been out with my Daughter and grandson. He finally has a queen size bed -- no mattress till today. We were at IKEA. That here is hours shopping. He chose his mattress and with it condensed and rolled it it red in the Toyota Prius just fine. He has put this larger purchase off for ages, sleeping on a camp stretched. His mother put her foot down and now he has a decent bed. He is 20 and just on 6’. The hole idea of a king size was totally out of the question. It would not fit in his room. God bless him he is such a’cherrished’ practically minded youngsters there is no way he would demand what he knows is just not possible. I am so glad you’ve had such an escape from all that falling timber. Praise God plenty of firewood in the future. All my love, Ellen. Queensland, Australia.

Wow. Those winds looked rough! I live in Louisiana. I can sympathize with y'all. Just had the Cat 4 Hurricane come through and it will soon be Tornado season!
