I have always wanted to see a total eclipse. Not just to see the gradual reduction of sunlight and the creeping shadow (though they will do for starters). It is the brief period of total darkness, that the human race fails to anticipate by switching all the lights on . I am given to understand that, even in urban areas that is no limit to the stars that can be seen.
