The Leinstermen's tactics "choose the touch instead of 3 points" didn't work well against Toulouse's defence this afternoon... Anyway, it wasn't the most exciting finals but congrats to both teams !

Is Leinster/Irish rugby not familiar with the idea of creating scoreboard pressure? Absolutely bottled it yet again. When it comes down to it, Leinster and Ireland fail to get the job done when it truly matters.

It's amazing how much it stands out.. With these world class players... Is how much time they have when in possession. Nothing is ever done in a rushed or flustered manner. Dupont has this ability in spades...

I am young and healthy but felt like I would have a heart attack throughout the entire game. High tension and suspens till the end.

Titanic game - nothing between these two teams. Dupont is just insane and Kinghorn and Willis were also immense. Thought Leinster were marginally the better team in the second half and their sheer will to win would edge it but Toulouse defence won the day. Rugby was the winner in this Toulouse victory because we are increasingly seeing a growing and unwelcome side to Leinster and Irish rugby that the game could do without. When things don't go their way on 50-50 calls, too many Leinster players feel the need to complain to the ref and try to put pressure on the officials. They were all at it today with every 50-50 call. A rise in Irish rugby fortunes the past years has also been accompanied by a "win at all costs" siege mentality which is unfortunate. The Irish legend Willie John Mcbride openly and fiercely called out the All Blacks on this type of behaviour 15 years ago and Irish rugby players today would do well to heed the big man's comments about the integrity of the game being paramount. The same also goes for a boorish element of the Leinster support who deemed it necessary today to whistle and cat call when Kinghorn and Ramos were taking penalties. Thankfully, rugby was the winner at the end of the game.

Obviously Dupont is Dupont, but I feel two players have to be mentioned that were brilliant in this final, Chocobares and Sheehan. Cros, Kinghorn and McCarthy were also quite good.

I was at the game and the atmosphere was thunderous. Could not hear the people speaking next to me, but unfortunately, that intensity of noise can never be picked up on television - as this clip bears out. More to the point, why were the two disallowed tries of Toulouse not shown in the highlights? Those went to many reviews and in the end only millimetres were at play. Also, the red card should've been shown. Adding another minute to highlights wouldn't have killed anyone.

Better team won plain and simple. Ill always support the irish teams but Leinster again have serious questions to ask of themselves.
