If his meal takes too long at a restaurant, Felger is unhappy. If it comes too quickly, he’s skeptical and still unhappy.

There was another coach from Cleveland the Patriots hired....I can't remember his name, but he won a few Super Bowls.

Well he has plenty of experience with qbs. He gave Rodgers his second mvp and in 2016 Rodgers had 40 tuddies (he was hurt in 2017 and Brett kindly played instead) gave baker mayfield his best year and a playoff win and helped Flacco elevate Cleveland to the playoffs. So I think this is an okay hire. It tells me Mayo wants the qb position to be priority on offense whether it’s with Mac or someone in the draft.

Alex Van Pelt was not the play caller with the Browns. Coach Kevin Stefanski was the primary offensive play caller.

Hiring Van Pelt is a clear signal that Patriots are taking a QB at the top of the draft. Working with Qbs has been his primary focus since retiring as a player.

I heard he had other offers He interviewed for multiple teams and chose the pats for a reason. I think it’s cause he wants the opportunity to call plays and with a defensive head coach like Mayo here he’ll definitely get that. He’s going to have to prove/pick that up quick but I like the hire overall. Experience with QBs and sounds like a good locker room/culture guy. He has experience with a lot of systems so should be able to mold his system around whoever is our qb/on our team next season. As long as it’s a modern refreshing new offense with a stable qb I’m good. We will see

Van Pelt. Pitt QB. QB coach in a lot of NFL offenses. But why did the Browns let him go? A: They’re going for Baker Mayfield in FA.

The Mayo era is gonna be a major low point for the Patriots franchise ... They gonna draft Jayden Daniels at 3 and he's gonna get injured after 2 games cos he's paper thin and can only throw deep balls to first round wide receivers ...Mayo will be gone by 2026 and we will be drafting in the top 3 again 😂
