Then I will have to cut wood again, but I hope that by then the snowfall will end and the frost will be less severe. Although this weather suited me, I loved the harsh winter. At this time of year, you could be in your favorite wooden attic, warm yourself by the fireplace, eat delicious food, read books, drink berry tea, play the guitar, or just dream while looking out the window. In the distance one could see the roofs of village houses and small windows from which soft light emanated from kerosene lamps. All the residents of the village in such weather, just like me, sat at home and just rested. My cat Lussie slept all day long by the fireplace. Sometimes she made pleasant purring sounds, probably she was dreaming of something very pleasant. In a strong snowstorm, the radio worked with interference; it was difficult to catch the desired radio wave. I had a sleepless night ahead of me, as I had slept well during the day. Now was the time to have a delicious dinner and continue reading the interesting book that I started yesterday. It was a wonderful winter time when you could enjoy comfort, tranquility, and relaxation. "
