Many raw feeders also fed raw bone for the benefit of cleaning their dogs teeth. But it's normally an actual bone. Like a raw turkey neck.

Been feeding our GSD Pup the Instinct Frozen Raw Puppy food since she was 10 wks old. She now 5 mos and still on it. I switch between their Longevity frozen raw brand as well as their Freeze dried raw for puppy’s too. She loves them all!

What are your thoughts on the documentary “Pet Fooled”? Also garlic keeps flies and mosquitos away which is why we give it to horses. I’ve heard in small amounts garlic is okay for dogs, but definitely don’t take my word for it! Ground bones has vitamins and calcium, you could also finely ground chicken eggs or give your dog a raw turkey neck now and again

It’s not a fair test because Instinct has mostly kibble with some raw pellets mixed in.

Hey Adam, instinct was impressive. But you’re right, it’s on a different level. Raw ingredients and all. I’ve done a little research on raw feeding and plenty of feeders use chicken bones to provide glucosamine. My assumption is instinct does as well. I’ll have to check and see what other proteins instinct provides. Expensive but hell of a good food. Thanks again for the mash up

I’m feeding my 2 year old havanese Stella & Chewy freeze dried raw similiar to Instinct I’m hoping it is as good I’ve tried so many foods he wouldn’t eat

I fed instinct to my dog for 10 years in the states before I took him to Europe and he's still doing well for a 17 year old mini schnauzer. Everyone is impressed with how great shape he's in, the only thing in Europe the only thing I could find that was comparable was a completely raw diet which is what he eats now and he loves it. In Spain there is a company called Yum if you are interested.

Hey, Merrick is a brand that love however ever since they have partnered up or have been bought by Mars, unfortunately. They have added certain things that weren't necessarily there. My dog was being fed merrick backcountry and my cat, and they did perfect in it. However a couple years later my dog started gaining weight. They added pea protein (cheap way of incorporating a protein percentage in order to pass AAFCO standards) which is also sometimes hard for certain dogs to digest. Along with other carbs. I definitely would stay away from any kibble or wet food that has been processed through high temperatures that passes the cooking threshold. Basically freeze dried or frozen .. or the best of all... RAW HOMEMADE. Chop and serve lol. Good brands I suggest would have to be Stella and Chewy and Instinct. There are more out there, however I have not done much research on it. Also, if you look at their recall history, do not fear. Recalls are mainly geared for our healthy safety since dogs' and cats' GI tract are more resilient than ours when it comes to pathogens. Of course if your pet is ill, that will be the only time where u have to be extremely cautious.

I switched my dog to Instinct's raw frozen beef bites and he absolutely LOVES it. I'll never go back. They say a raw diet is the better option for dogs as it is more fresh, they are less likely to have a allergic reaction to the ingredients, and its more nutritionally packed. In my research i found a lot of nutrients in dry food are lost during the cooking process.

I do and have been for years. Not everyone’s pets respond the same to different brands of food. My puppy loves blue buffalo and it completely healed his skin condition and has grown his fur back. I highly recommend.

Ground chicken bone. As you already know yes it has vitamins and minerals.. but most importantly CALCIUM. However, it is suppose to be RAW so not cooking should be involved. That is actually a lot vetter since cooking bone could actually do more harm than good..even if its ground up. Cooked bone could potentially harm your dog or cat because of possible shards (even when its ground up). Most importantly, by not cooking it the bone or any ingredient that isn't cooked will preserve all of its nutrients. Therefore, not needing to add any vitamins and minerals, however they still put that in there so that they make sure that your dog or cat won't become malnutrition. So much more but that's the whole purpose of RAW.

Is this a keto or low carb food? I have a tripaw 84lbs 9 year old goldenddodle with osteosarcoma. His front leg got amputated may 28th and he will start chemo tomorrow. He is been eating dr harveys paradigm but is $300 a month cause I still have to add fresh protein of choice. So looking for something cheaper and good
