Thank you so much for your explanation on the crimp tubes and covers. Was doing it wrong....no wonder. So many tutorials do not explain this. So happy! 😃

I like to use the crimping pliers instead, to hold the crimp covers more securely than you can with chain nose pliers. The covers fit comfortably in the second groove in the crimp pliers and give you more control. The chain nose pliers, as you can see in the video, have no teeth - you wouldn't want them to scratch the crimp cover - and tend to let the crimp cover slide out of them.

@Lisa C. - Yes, unfortunately, that kit has been discontinued. when using the crimp bead, when you are saying to turn the bead 90 degrees for the second crimp, why does that not open the first crimp? Are you kind of folding the whole thing? Scratching my head...

Crimp pliers have two sets of grooves. You crimp the tube first in the notched set, then rotate it sideways and crimp it in the smooth set. It tightens and rounds the crimp.
