It has been a few weeks since my last video. I didn't really get to work on this project as much as I wanted to! But here it is, my second handmade didgeridoo.
I actually made one before out of a Conifer strain from my backyard. This time I wanted to experiment with some powertools, as my first didge was entirely done with a chisel.
I have got some exciting plans for my next video's, so stay tuned!

Loved your splitting method!

As you're crafting these from a log you can create an integral, properly sized mouthpiece whilst hollowing the stick instead of later having to add a beeswax mouthpiece. Just a thought!

I'd love to know if you have any problems splitting the wood like that. I'm always put off building one because I don't have a bandsaw. Never thought it possible to mechanically split the wood

Hi! I didn't have a bandsaw as well at the time. This seemed like a logical thing to do. it went very well. But it's the only time I did it like this. Just kept looking back and forward to make sure I wasn't going crooked. took my time. Nowadays I use a small bandsaw but actually the fit of this splitting method was way better as there is no material removed from sawing.

Nice work! Looks like you used every tool in the shop. Lol. If you had to choose just one tool to hollow out, what would you use?

@@jansalk5087 I can't really recall what i used exactly. Maybe I will revisit this build some time and make a better video for it. This one is kind of hard to follow i guess. But some kind of Danish oil is what i put inside, just to close off the wood from moist while playing. I'm no expert on this but it seemed logical to me to do. I filled the airgaps with epoxy in this video, but in the future i just use bees wax, melt it, pour it on and let it cool.

@@thematerialguy8725Thank you so much🙏 beeswax is more original then epoxy as well so that’s a good idea for sure💫
