Just did a cross country from Kodx to Kmwl first time using flight following. By the time I got down there I was comfortable with the radio calls "thanks to your videos". On the way back it was much easier to do and center helped me spot traffic Foreflight missed and was converging at same altitude that we did not see until the last minute. So thank you for helping keep my family safe.

I am so thankful my flight school is at a Class Delta airport (KGMU) and radio communications were ingrained in me from day 1. I get Flight following on every single flight that leaves our local area. As I work on Holds and Approaches right now in Instrument training, it is definitely helpful .... I simply remember CRAFT and HAC.... Clearance, Route, Altitude, Frequency, and Transponder for IFR flight plan. Then HAC is Heading Altitude and Clearance for the Approach.... ATC can make that clearance for approach a long-winded call that is intimidating... but realizing all I need to do is to start turn as soon as ATC calls it, then say heading as I am in the turn and bugging the turn, altitude, and clearance... much easier. The scratchpad templates in Foreflight are awesome for Holds and CRAFT...
