Sandstorm has the best gunplay i've ever seen. Doesn't feel wacky and doesn't feel extremely firm either.

This franchise has a lot of potential. Hopefully now that Saber is independent, they can make a third entry soon.

If insurgency sandstorm had a vietnam map it wouldve been the best game of all time

I definitely have a soft spot for this game too. I’m not the “thousands of hours” gamer, so for me the 150 hours I put into it was a lot. I haven’t played it in a long time but I may have to jump back on again in the future because I definitely miss it.

Tbh the lack of dev support and no updates has ruined this game imo

I got super into the first Insurgency when I didn't have a PC- just had a little MacBook Air and it was one of the only games I could play. That was 10 years ago, but Sandstorm sure helps scratch that itch.

playing insurgency sandstorm really made me realize just how "average" I was at shooting games. Strip away the auto aim, aim assist, constant UAVs in the air, perks, tactical sprint/bunny jumping/drop shotting and just throwwing you in a baarebones environment. Its truly a breath of fresh air.

Sandstorm support is basically non existent. They never added any new features, and we werent really asking for much. Just a lil somethin, and they gave us a little nothin.

This mod should have been always there. Gunplay was built for these speeds. Not whacky bunnyhopping supersprinting which was added later in development.

"Death/Kill Cams" the bane of FPS games that devs decided needed to be added to hold everybody's hands. Can't stand them and I intentionally skip past them every time. I love processing for MYSELF how and where my death came from. Don't need the game to tell me!

Game could really use a huge update in guns and maps but i dont see that happening. Especially since it has only a small team working on it.

What is so nostalgic about this game is that it's a return to simple competitive shooters. A return to form in the case of skill based shooters. Where you are rewarded for mastering recoil patterns, choosing effective ranges with said weapons and managing your reloads are crucial. Putting yourself in advantageous positioning and listening to your surroundings and working with your team. My friends and I enjoy this game so much. Best sound design in the game. Long live sandstorm or shooters alike.

This game was beautiful. Already get nostalgia looking back to the Alpha/Beta and early launch days. Sad that we will probably never get a new insurgency or similar game like this(or if so it would be radically different). There are still a few content updates left since they already sold the year 3 pass with promises of this future content. It's not gonna be much at all - tbh the updates have been lackluster for a good while now. But it's something... maybe a map, couple new firearms and some cosmetics but yeah its something at least.

I love this game, honestly I've never played a PVP, all of my almost 500 hours are on PVE, specially in the ISMC servers but unfortunatelly the mods have some troubles. I hope that in a near future we will get another insurgency with more mod support.

Bruh. The game died the moment developers had no clue on how to solve the server lag issues.

I fell in love with Sandstorm in it's early days. The game was gritty AF and I was hoping it kept going in that direction. Unfortunately for me, the devs took it in the opposite direction. Changing movement and recoil around, dumbed down the texture quality and began with the cosmetics. That's ok though, my loss was other peoples gain.

It kinda pissed me off because I was really excited about this game coming to PS5 and I bought the premium edition because it said it came with all future map packs. Will I played it for about 6mo and nothing really came out in terms of new maps, by the time they finally did I moved on. I liked the have but there weren't enough maps.

Yo just bought this just last week for the PS4 at my mom's and omg dude!!! I'll say, I'm very happy i bought Insurgency instead of taking that money to MW3 for the new zombies. Sure; after about 3 to 5 matches of insurgency im satisfied and getting burnt out, but at the same time its not that same getting burnt out an dissatisfied feeling you get when you give up on COD anything. I love COD, but damn dude after Black ops 1 things just have not been the same.
